Appolgies for the radio silence - I have been trying to juggle having a baby and taking in small numbers of dogs for boarding.
We only have one dog left for rehoming and he has been in the kennels for around a year and a half. To be honest I was skeptical about posting this as it had gotten to the point were we thought it would be too stressful for him to go and live in a home again after being in the kennels for as long as he has. I thought maybe he should just stay at the kennels as a 'pet' but with things quietening down its really sad to see him missing the company of other dogs.
Kai was returned to us when unfortunately his owner died, he has taken a little bit of time to decompress and not take life so seriously. He suffered with separation anxiety when he first arrived at the kennels but that has gotten much better over time, and could be managed in a home with experienced owners, or in an ideal world he could be rehomed with another greyhound.
He gets on great with other greyhounds and has shared his kennel with a number of different bi***es with no issues. Having the company of another dog is what helped manage his separation anxiety so I think this would be the most successful outcome for rehoming.
He walks brilliantly on the lead and jumps straight into the car. Loves to play with toys, chase balls, have a run off- lead, and play with other greyhounds. Is ok with other medium sized breeds but needs to be introduced correctly in a controlled environment.
He is a dog who really wants to please his owner and is one of the most affectionate pups I've ever met. He will make a fantastic companion for somebody but just needs to be given a chance.
For any more information on this boy or to arrange a visit, please do get in touch via the page and I will get back to you.
