🐴 WE’RE RECRUITING - GROOM 🐴

Ingliston Estate & Country Club is looking for a Part Time or Full Time Groom to join our dedicated Stables Team.

We’re looking for someone with a genuine passion for horses, good practical experience, and a strong understanding of horse care and stable duties.

The role includes:
🐎 Mucking out and bedding
🐎 Grooming and clipping
🐎 Feeding and turnout
🐎 Rug changing
🐎 Monitoring horse health and treating minor injuries
🐎 General yard duties and stable tours

We’re looking for someone who:
✨ Has good knowledge and experience of horse care
✨ Understands equine illnesses and first aid
✨ Is happy working outdoors in all weather
✨ Has excellent customer service skills
✨ Is flexible and responsive to the horses’ needs

🐴 MEET THE DEMONSTRATORS: MADDIE & KITTY - BRIDLELESS JUMPING

What happens when you take the bridle away? 👀

Meet Maddie and Kitty, who’ll be joining us at Scotland’s Horsemanship LIVE to demonstrate the training, trust and communication behind bridleless jumping.

Kitty is a 14-year-old Connemara with a seriously impressive CV. During her seven years with the family she has competed at British Eventing, won the UK Connemara Eventing Championships, competed at Elementary British Dressage and, most recently, headed to the Badminton Grassroots Championships.

And she did the jumping phases in a bitless side-pull bridle.

Maddie first began exploring bitless riding after noticing that Kitty actually became less strong and more focused without a bit. With additional groundwork and training, their bitless work progressed — and Maddie soon discovered that Kitty was just as responsive without a bridle at all.

Now, one of Kitty’s favourite things is jumping with nothing more than a neck rope. 🤍

At Scotland’s Horsemanship LIVE, Maddie will take us through that journey and demonstrate how the communication normally associated with reins and a bridle can be developed through training, body language and trust.

With the UK's first dedicated bridleless competition recently bringing huge attention to this rapidly growing area of horsemanship, there couldn't be a better time to explore what riding without a bridle actually looks like.
