A gentle reminder to keep your dogs indoors during the hot weather! Anything over 24 degrees is too hot! 🥵

Heatstroke is very real and very dangerous, even fatal in some cases.

A dog never died from missing a walk… keep them safe in a cool house instead please!

Symptoms of heatstroke include:

Excessive panting
Bright red or very pale gums
Wobbly on their legs
Lethargy vomiting
Excessive thirst

If you even suspect it for a moment, bet your dog to a vet asap

No matter which trainer you use, just make sure it’s a positive reinforcement one. “Balanced” trainers use methods which look effective but are not ethical. If in doubt, ask why their methods work - if it’s not making the dog happy and putting welfare first, it’s not right.

Looking for something to do tomorrow? 👀

Cheshire Paws is teaming up with Captain’s Orders Dog Training to run a stall at Antrobus Dog Show! 🐶

It’s on from 10am til 5pm at Antrobus Village Hall, CW9 6LB, and they have lots of great categories to enter your dog into! 🌟

On our stall, we’ll have the Doggie Gauntlet - a test to see how well behaved your pooch really is, with prizes and certificates for every participant 🤭
We’ll also have a complimentary raffle to win free services from Cheshire Paws and Captain’s Orders!

Come and pop down to our stall tomorrow, we’d be delighted to see you 🥰 🐾

Saturday Success Story! ⭐️ 🏆

Shoutout to this little guy, Six, (and his mum!) who worked SO incredibly hard together.

When I first met Six, he couldn’t be on the same field as another dog without losing his mind and shouting his socks off.
Now, he’s learned that if he’s not sure about something or wanting to interact, he can just move away instead as you’ll see him demo perfectly in the video 😍❤️

It’s moments like this that make me love my job even more than usual!
