Wow. These are crazy numbers!

If you're not in the position to foster or adopt a dog, but you desperately want to help, you can do so by contributing to an organisation like Spay It Forward. They provide assistance to overseas charities to help manage street dog populations with trap-neuter-return (TNR) programmes 🙌

This is why the only way forward is neutering ….

From Stronger Together Animal Rescue (STAR):

Tom was terribly let down last minute after we went through the whole adoption process with a family we have been speaking for about couple of months, maybe more, until the right dog for them comes along. Today I had call to say they weren't in a position to adopt right now.

BUT Tom is already booked on the flight with nowhere to go! He is a senior dog, about 9 years old, and he has been in the pound for over a year! As shelters here are full to the brim right now, Tom shares space with another 3 dogs, 2 girls and another boy. They do have a lot of space but as the only senior dog amongst them he spends most of the time in his wooden house as the youngsters are always too much in his face. Tom has leishmania, has done his treatment, and all he needs is a cheap pill a day.

It is terrible when any dog is let down but an oldie that has been waiting for so long... absolutely devastating.

We really can't bare leaving Tom behind so please please if anyone can give this sweet natured old gentleman a home where he can spend his golden years loved and spoilt, fill in the adoption form below and send me a message.

🐾 WILSON 🐾
💬 say: Please meet Wilson who is looking for his new forever home.

Wilson is a x and has been in the same home since a pup. He is now 9 years old, neutered, in date for vaccinations, and microchipped.

He is being rehomed as his male owner has to go away for periods of time and he has proved too strong for his female owner when out walking when he sees a cat - he has pulled her over a couple of times.
He used to live in a house so had access to a garden but they now live in a flat so he doesnt have his own outside space.

Wilson is a very friendly boy, good with children and other dogs - he can be funny with some similar sized male dogs. He is a no with cats.
He travels well in the car and is happy to be left for short periods.

Please don’t let this boy’s age deter you, according to his assessor he is a truly lovely boy and any person will be lucky to have him as part of their home.

Wilson is in his own home in West Sussex so applicants will need to be prepared to travel.

🐾 COCO 🐾

💬 This gorgeous puppy is currently in foster in Milton Keynes after being rescued as a tiny puppy in Romania, she can travel anywhere in the U.K. for the right home. Read the below to see if you could be the family for her.

Coco is approximately 7 months old and we think she will be a medium sized dogs around 25kg when fully grown. She most likely has Shepherd type breeding.

Coco is a bundle of energy and fun, she loves to play, explore and chew bones! She is looking for an experienced home who can give her the life she deserves. Given her breeding she is very smart and needs a home who can understand that and give her lots to learn.

She loves to play with other dogs and needs really playful similar sized or bigger dogs in her forever home.

She’ll need a large garden to play in and ideally in a rural setting when she can fully relax and enjoy her time in a quiet home.

We think she would prefer a quieter, adult only home who would devote lots of time to her training, growth and development.

You’ll need to be experienced dog adopters, as she will need her confidence building in some areas but with the right family we know she will blossom. Youll need to be experienced with positive reward training and counter conditioning.

🐾 NED 🐾

💬 This boys face just says it all! He’s as gorgeous and lovely as he looks 😊

Ned is around a year old, he loves people, loves cuddles and gets on with other dogs. He’s just an awesome little dog and is going to make his adopters very happy indeed!
Ned shares a kennel with another small female dog that came from the pound with him. They get on well, keep each other warm in this cold weather and love to chase each other around the exercise field very fast!
There’s not much to say about this lovely boy other than that we're sure that he’s going to make a great addition to any family.

🐾 WILLOW 🐾

• 4 Year Old Female
•

📍Currently fostered in Croydon, Surrey

👥 People – Willow is a little nervous initially but soon settles and will approach for a gentle fuss and interaction.
👶 - Willow could live with older children 12+, provided that they are used to nervous dogs and understand she will take time to settle and adjust.

🐱 – We do not know what Willow is like with cats so a feline free home please.

🐶 ­– Willow is an ex breeding girl so it is a must for her to be re homed with at least one other similar sized confident resident dog. It would be a plus for her to be re homed with another if possible.

💗 - There are no known health issues.

🏡 – Willow is adjusting well and is gaining in confidence in her foster home, it will take time for her to settle in her forever home so the odd accident should be expected. Homelife is very new for her and a little overwhelming at times.

🌳– Everything is new and frightening currently, she enjoys being out with the other dogs but unexpected sights and sounds still cause her to panic. She has made huge progress with meeting people and other dogs outside of the home and is coping well

🐾 Type of home - We would love applications from prospective owners who are experienced with nervous dogs and can demonstrate and understanding of their needs and how to continue to build their confidence with positive encouragement and guidance. We would love to hear from applicants with breed experience and a resident Dachshund if possible.

🐾 Willow has been neutered, vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with her flea and worming treatments

🐾 SAMMY 🐾

Tiny Sammy Sausage is a 4 year old Dachshund mix weighing in at only 2.5kg 🥰🥰🥰 Sammy is looking for a child free home and can live with other small dogs.
Sammy is a vocal, funny boy who loves snacks and short walks (as long as it's not raining when he will hide under his blanket, he is part Dachshund after all 🤣)
Sammy is clean in the house, sleeps in his bed all night and what he lacks in size he makes up for in personality. Sammy was surrendered due to issues with the resident children so please don't apply if you cannot guarantee a child free home.
Sammy is castrated, microchipped and had a vet check and re started his vaccinations.
Adoption form is on website, video home check and donation payable.

5 Month Old Female

Fostered in Pyrford, Surrey

People – Lizzie is a typical friendly bouncy pup who is great with everyone she meets

Can I live with children - Children 8+ would be fine provided they are used to living with bouncy dogs

Can I live with cats – Lizzie is young so could be trained to be respectful of her feline friends provided that they are bold and used to dogs

Can I live with other dogs ­– She is great with other dogs and is happiest with a canine companion who will indulge her passion for play

Health - Lizzie arrived in our care as she had an undiagnosed skin issue, we ran tests and confirmed that Lizzie had mange which has now been treated

In the home – She has settled well in foster and is happy and settled in the home, she is clean and well behaved although like most pups she does have her mad moments

Out and about – Lizzie is confident out of the home, she loves her walks and travels well in the car

Type of home - We would like new owners who are around for most of the day and who have the time and patience to continue her training. She is very sweet and she needs owners who can commit to the next 12-15 years, please consider if you have the ability to be her person for the rest of her life. Please also consider the cost implications of maintaining her coat as she will need regular trips to the groomers, area dependant this can be costly

My Foster parent says - Lizzie is a bundle of joy and she will make a wonderful addition for her new family

Lizzie has been vaccinated and micro chipped and is up to date with her flea and worming treatments, she will need to be neutered at the correct time as part of her Adoption Agreement (reduced cost neutering is available at our vets on request). Proof of neutering will be required

Prospective owners will be expected to travel to Pyrford Surrey to meet Lizzie

💬: Ladies and gentlemen, meet Toby. Let me tell you this 16 month old boy has melted all our hearts!

He’s lived with a small child, but never around other animals, and suffers from separation anxiety.

He’ll need someone who is experienced and willing to spend time training him. He needs a very active home, and would be suited to any kind of tracking / agility work as he has a very active brain.
