As most of our supporters know Lexi has been with us for 4 months.

She has become very stressed and we have tried everything to help her but rescue isn’t the best place for her right now. She had been with her owners for 8 years, so you can imagine how she feels 💔

For a girl that absolutely adores food, she has stopped eating, she doesn’t want to go outside anymore, just stays on the sofa and watches as the world goes by…

She is a darling girl, she hasn’t been any trouble here and we just want to see her happy again🥹

She can be rehomed with other dogs, older children or adult home. She is very friendly and a lil sweetheart. She is house trained, great on the lead. She is 9 years old.

Can you be that home for Lexi?
I really hope so because it’s heart breaking to see how sad she has become💔

Tick season is officially back 😫

🐾 Make sure your dogs and outdoor cats are up-to-date with a parasite treatment that also covers ticks
🐾 Check your pet daily for ticks - they're most common on faces, ears, necks, armpits, and groins
🐾 If you see a tick, remove it straightaway - the longer they're attached, the greater the chance of transmitting disease
🐾 Remove ticks with a tick hook or tick tweezers or please contact your groomer or vet
🐾 Don't squeeze the body - it makes them regurgitate and increases the risk of transmitting disease
🐾 Make sure you remove the head, not just the body. If you think the head and legs are still in the skin, give the area a good clean and contact a vet.

Tick treatments can't stop ticks biting your pet, but they should kill the tick before it can properly attach. This massively reduces the risk of them transmitting disease.
