Hi Everyone, we hope you’re all having a lovely weekend. We want to update you with some news of what’s been going on in the foxy household over the last week. As some of you may know our Frenchie Winston went to the vets recently to have a lump checked and last Saturday we found out it was a cancerous. Winnie was booked in to have this removed and to have it checked to see how aggressive the cancer is. Unfortunately, Winnie then also picked up an eye ulcer, which we had been treating under vets instructions. When Winnie went in for his op it was found that the ulcer had deteriorated significantly and his eye had ruptured, we believe Winnie has scratched his own eye in the night and caused the rupture. Cue a mad rush to Wakefield to see a specialist, who has now operated to save the eye. It’s been a significant surgery and the recovery process is pretty gruelling, Winnie will need 6 different drops 4 times a day for the next few weeks. As such we may need to rearrange walks to ensure we can keep on top of his treatment and give him the best possible chance of retaining some vision. We wanted to let everyone know and ask for patience during the next tricky few weeks.
Vic has received lots of messages and wants to apologise for not yet having the chance to reply, but she will slowly work her way through these.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for your understanding.
