Hope has come on leaps and bounds with both her recall training and her walking / focus training! 🤩
A few weeks ago when I first met Hope, she was an excitable bundle of energy and wanted to say HELLO to every dog she saw… but didn’t care if she dragged her mum and dad over to do it 🙊
Today she’s walked past multiple dogs, focusing on her mum and dad instead, and we even managed to meet a group of off lead dogs (her biggest challenge!) and she stayed pretty calm on lead!
Her mum and dad are super proud of her ❤️🐾

Let’s play a game! 😄 Share your dogs name in the comments… followed by all the variations which lead to your dog’s weirdest nickname…
Little Molly mushroom
Mushroom (because she doesn’t leave mush room when she cuddles you)
Mushy
Mushy Smushy
🐶 Smushy face 🐶
We also call her Molly pops which lead to Popsicle 🍭
And muffin. Don’t know where that one came from 😂

Ways you can socialise your puppy BEFORE their vaccinations!
1. Have friendly vaccinated dogs come over to your house.
2. Go to the house of a friendly vaccinated dog.
3. Carry your dog or use a push chair to let them see the outside world.
4. Take a picnic blanket with you so they can go onto the floor and watch the world go by.
5. Use noises and objects to socialise them with novel things in the house and garden.
6. Visit friend’s and family’s homes.
7. Have friends and family over to visit you.

Hank’s looking super proud after his parents were telling me about how much his training has progressed!!
🐾 Biggest progress was with his “leave it” training - instead of picking up EVERYTHING on our walk, he barely even tried!
✅ But when he did want something, and his mum said “leave it”, he listened IMMEDIATELY! 🤩
🥳 He even listened to “drop it” when he already had something in his mouth!!
This is such a huge step considering he’s doing lots of other training alongside this too! 🐾
Big well done Hank and family ❤️

If you’re the man who called me on Wednesday and I didn’t answer, said I would ring back but didn’t - I’m so sorry, I had phone issues yesterday and had to reset it 3 times. Unfortunately now I’ve lost some of my voicemails and messages and I don’t have your number! Please call again so we can have a chat about your dog 🐶 😊

Hi, I'm Hannah. I'm a qualified dog trainer and behaviourist who focuses on positive reinforcement style training – no punishments! This means that you’ll get happier, more motivated dogs who’ll be willing to listen to you because you’ll have such a great bond with them.
I’m fully qualified with a BSc (Hons) degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training, a Distinction (Triple Star Level) in Animal Management, and multiple human and animal first aid courses. My business is fully insured, and I assure you that I will work my absolute hardest with your dog, ensuring that you get the best care and results.
A bit about me...
I started my animal career studying Animal Management at Bishop Burton College. This is where I got to interact, handle, work with, and train many species of animals. I completed my work experience with RSPCA Hull, earning myself a voluntary position there too. After a year and a half, I was offered a job there.
Two years on, graduating with the highest possible grade, I knew this was what I wanted to do forever, so I applied to do a BSc (Hons) degree in Animal Behaviour and Training, also at Bishop Burton College. The next three years was hard work, and I loved every minute of it! Training such a wide variety of animals was my favourite part, from rats and rabbits to lemurs and marmosets, from alpacas and wallabies to otters and meerkats!
In my first year I decided to travel to South Africa to volunteer with nine African elephants for four weeks. Being the best experience of my life, I couldn't wait to go back. So throughout year 2, i started planning my dissertation - a year earlier than most, but I’d already booked flights to travel back as a research student for three months! My dissertation was involved playing classical music to elephants to see if they behaved differently (they did), and what type of music they liked (no preference).
I continued to work with the RSPCA, transferring to the Bridlington Branch where after over four years, I’m still there! The RSPCA has taught me a lot about animal welfare and dealing with nervous and aggressive animals in particular, giving me more experience in training them. The RSPCA has also given me the opportunity to go on many courses, such as dog behaviour, cat behaviour, human first aid, and animal first aid.
I finished studying in May 2018, graduating in October. This was when I decided to set up Mucky Pups Dog Training, and its been a little hectic ever since! So many people have reached out to me, asking me to help them with training, and I’ve loved being able to help so many dogs and people.
So, if you think that i can help you with your dog, please get in contact with me. I’m always happy to help, and your dog’s happiness is my number one priority!
