🌟 Just a few things we’ve been up to recently here at Wagtails of The Wolds … 🌟

We’ve been busy brushing up smiles with our ultrasonic teeth cleaning service 🦷, bathing the tiniest pups for their first-ever visits 🛁, and helping our puppy graduates confidently step into their big dog grooms ✂️ - taking every care to make the process gentle, educational, and positive.

And not forgetting some extra special pampering sessions for a dog getting ready to meet their potential mates 💓 - with top-to-tail sprucing to make sure she’s looking (and smelling) her very best for her big moment. 🌺 🌟

It’s not just about looking good - it’s about feeling relaxed, building confidence, and giving every dog the time and care they deserve.

🌟 Beautiful Bailey - Confident, Calm & Camera-Ready! 🌟

Handsome Bailey, the Sprocker Spaniel, joined us for his big boy groom - and what a star he was!

Bailey graduated from our Puppy Programme two months ago, and it’s been lovely to see how that early foundation has paid off.

Confident, calm and full of tail wags, Bailey took the whole session in his stride! 💙🐶

From bath time to blow dry, he remembered everything he’d learned during his puppy visits - and those puppy dog eyes are still melting hearts!

We’re so proud of him - well done Bailey - we can’t wait to see you again soon. 🐶💙🐾

💕 Welcome Tamsie the Airedale Puppy! 💕

Beautiful baby Tamsie joined us for her very first ever salon groom alongside her big sister Heidi - and what a little superstar she was!

Our focus with puppy sessions isn’t just about making them look lovely (though she did look extra cute 🥰) - it’s about educating them gently in the whole grooming process:

✅ The new sensation’s 🧼
✅ The different sounds like hairdryer’s
✅ The feel of the brushes and handling
✅ And most importantly - learning that it’s all safe, calm, and nothing to worry about 💕

Tamsie took it all in her stride and even fell asleep during her blow dry… the ultimate sign of trust and relaxation.💤

We’re so proud of her and excited to see her grow in confidence with every visit.

A huge thank you to her lovely family for setting her up for grooming success from the start. 🙌

💕 Sisters, Spaniels & Spa Days 💕

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting beautiful Indie and Gracie this week - two very special 9-year-young Springer sisters who melted our hearts the moment they walked through the door! 🐶🐶

This was their first ever professional salon groom, and they were total superstars! Calm, gentle, and incredibly trusting - Indie even drifted off to sleep mid-groom. 💤

We made sure to take extra care around Indie’s front leg, which has been sore since puppyhood, and she handled it like a true queen.

Gracie was just as relaxed and sweet, enjoying her pamper like she’d been doing it for years. 🧘 🛁 🍃

🌟 A huge thank you to their wonderful family for all the gentle desensitisation and care they’ve given the girls over the years - it really showed.

Their calmness, trust, and understanding of the grooming process made everything a joy, and it’s clear they’ve been loved deeply from day one! 💕

Both girls left the salon looking fresh, soft and sweet as anything - and yes, sporting the cutest little bow ties too. 🎀

We can’t wait to see you again soon Indie and Gracie. 🌟

🌟Beautiful Tula - the Showstopper 🌟

Lovely Tula the Cavalier came in for her pamper with a very special request - she’s off to be shown in competition !

Her parents asked us to keep her coat looking completely natural to meet show standards, so we gave her a gentle tidy-up to enhance her beautiful features without altering her gorgeous, flowing coat.

No styling, no shaping - just a soft cleanse and fluff to let her natural charm shine through. 🐶🌟

She took it all in her stride, calm and graceful as ever.

And while she may be heading off to impress the judges, she’s already a winner in our eyes! 🐶💕🐾

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Morag & Jura - Scottish Sisters in Style! 🐾

We had the absolute pleasure of pampering Morag and Jura, two stunning Scottish Terrier sisters, here at Wagtails of The Wolds - and what a duo dream they were! ❤️❤️

These lovely ladies were brought in by their wonderful family, who gave us thoughtful styling instructions to reflect each dog’s personality.

We were asked to keep their face, beard and ears long, but take the eyebrows slightly shorter than usual to give them a tidy, expressive look. And it suited them beautifully! 🌟

Both girls were a joy to work with - calm, proud, and full of personality. 🐶 🎀

We always love when we’re trusted to celebrate a dog’s individuality through grooming, and with these two sisters, it was all about balance, softness and style. ✂️ 💕

We can’t wait to welcome Morag and Jura back again. Two Scotties, twice the style, and double the heart. 💓 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

🐾💕 Cheeky Cocoa’s Pamper Day! 🛁

Say hello to Cocoa, the gorgeous, full of beans 4-year-old Cockapoo, who kept us on our toes (and made us laugh the whole time!) during her recent grooming experience with us at Wagtails of The Wolds

Cocoa is what we lovingly call a “wriggler” - she loves to have a little shuffle, spin, and check out what’s going on around her at all times. 😄

With lots of patience, gentle reassurance, and a good dose of belly rubs, kisses, and cuddles, she soon settled into her pamper. 🛁 🍃

She absolutely lapped up the attention - from the warm bath and fluff-dry to her brush out followed by her tidy-up trim. Her tail never stopped wagging, and she definitely knows how to steal hearts. 💕

We love seeing dogs like Cocoa enjoy their visit and leave feeling fresh, fluffy, and oh-so-happy.

Grooming is never just about looking good - it’s about feeling great too. 🌟

We’re also looking forward to welcoming her back very soon for her ultrasonic teeth clean - to keep that beautiful smile sparkling! 🦷 ❤️

⛰️ 🐾 Bryn the Bernese - A Big, Beautiful Bundle of Joy! 🐾 ⛰️

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Bryn, a stunning 1-year-old Bernese Mountain dog, to Wagtails of The Wolds for a truly special grooming experience.

At 50kg, Bryn is a gentle giant with a whole lot of fluff and an even bigger heart!

His lovely family explained that he’d had limited grooming experiences so far and that his size - along with some nerves - had made things tricky elsewhere.

But we believe every dog deserves kindness, patience and time, and we were happy to show Bryn just that. 🐶💙

Having two of us in the salon - Hannah and myself, Louisa - makes all the difference.

We work closely together to ensure every dog, no matter their size, temperament, or history, feels safe and supported.

Whether it’s offering reassurance, handling with care, or just being there for a calming cuddle, our teamwork helps create a calm, confident experience from start to finish. 🧘 🍃

Bryn settled in beautifully, and his grooming session went smoothly- a lovely bath, a gentle blow-dry, a full brush-out, and lots of kind encouragement along the way. 🌟

We were so touched by the kind words his family shared after the visit:

“We arrived to pick up an absolutely stunning version of our Bernese…He was calm and not in the slightest bit stressed or even wanting to leave!”

🐾 🌼 Darling Daisy’s First Puppy Groom! 🌼 🐾

We had the absolute pleasure of meeting Daisy, a gorgeous 17-week-old Cavapoo who joined us at Wagtails of The Wolds for her very first ever salon experience-and what a little superstar she was! 💕🐶

At just 17 weeks, this is the perfect time to gently introduce puppies to the professional world of grooming.

These early sessions are all about creating positive first experiences - helping pups feel safe, confident, and calm in a salon environment.

The difference it makes long-term is incredible! 🌟 🛁

Daisy enjoyed a gentle bath, soft fluff dry, brush-out and light tidy-up, with plenty of cuddles and encouragement along the way.

She took everything in her stride and left us smelling clean, feeling fresh, and looking even more adorable (if that’s possible!). 💕🐾

At Wagtails, we know it’s not just about what happens in the salon - it’s about teamwork!

🐾🌟 Meg’s Big Day! From Nervous to Glowing! 🌟🐾

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Meg, a beautiful 2-year-old Romanian rescue, for her very first ever salon groom - and what a transformation it was! ❤️🐶

Understandably, Meg was extremely nervous to begin with. The sounds, smells, the whole experience was completely new to her.

But our wonderful team took everything slowly, gently, and with lots of patience to help her feel safe, loved, and understood every step of the way. 💕

With plenty of reassurance, kind words, and gentle handling, Meg found her feet and let us work our magic. ✨

Bit by bit, her confidence grew - and so did the shine in her eyes.

By the time we finished, she looked absolutely stunning - fresh, clean, and feeling much more comfortable.

But even more importantly, she knew she was safe and cared for. What a brave girl! 🌟🐶

We’re so proud of how far she came in just one visit, and we can’t wait to welcome her back and watch her confidence grow even more! 💫

🐶❤️ Radiant Ruby - The Cavapoo Queen! ❤️🐶

Lovely Ruby joined us at Wagtails of The Wolds for her pamper session, and what a treat it was to have her back in the salon!

With her thick, luscious coat and those adorable features, she really is a head-turner. 🌟🐾

She enjoyed the full Wagtails spa experience - starting with a calming blueberry facial, followed by a nourishing organic shampoo and conditioning treatment perfectly suited to her coat type. 🫐 🛁

After a gentle blow dry and brush-out, her coat was soft, shiny, and full of bounce. 🧴 🪮

A huge shoutout to Ruby’s wonderful Mum, who keeps her in such fantastic condition. 🥰🐶

We finished with a neat scissor tidy-up, making sure to keep her signature look just as Mum requested - with those beautiful long ears and that flowing fringe we all adore. ✂️ 💕

Ruby is also one of our regular ultrasonic teeth cleaning stars, so she’s always glowing from tip to tail! 🦷 🌟

A total sweetheart to groom, and we’re already looking forward to her next visit.

🐾🌟 Beautiful Bonnie & Charming Cheeto! 🌟🐾

We had such a gorgeous duo in the salon recently - Bonnie, a stunning 2-year-old Cockapoo with the most incredible coat, and her adorable Pomeranian sister Cheeto, who stole our hearts with her cheeky charm! 💛 ❤️

Bonnie’s coat is amazing - very thick with tight, luscious curls that take time, care and the right kind of pampering to keep looking and feeling it’s best! 🪮 🛁 ✂️

She was an absolute superstar throughout her groom, so patient and well behaved, and clearly loved all the fuss and attention. 🐶🥰

Cheeto was just as fabulous - a little pocket rocket with a big personality, who loved being part of the action and lapped up every second of her spa time! 🐶🐶💕

These two were a total delight from start to finish.

Thank you to their lovely Mum for trusting us with your beautiful girls - they left feeling fresh, fabulous and ready to stay cool and comfy in the summer sunshine! ☀️ 🐾

We’re already looking forward to seeing Bonnie again soon for her ultrasonic teeth clean - another step forward to keeping this lovely girl feeling happy, healthy, and pampered from top to tail! 🦷 🌟

Wagtails of The Wolds is based in the busy town of Driffield.

We provide a loving and caring dog grooming service for all ages, sizes and breeds of dogs.

Our grooming services range from a full body pamper “top-to-tail” to “tidy-up” trims (in-between full grooms) to help maintain and keep under control those beautiful coats. We use luxury organic products to ensure that the very best is used on your beloved - we also cater for those dogs who suffer from allergies, where we use specialist hypo allergenic organic shampoos and conditioning treatments.
