🐾🐾Pupdate🐾🐾
Firstly sorry for the lack of updates on our friends still in turkey. It’s been a long stressful time for Adam and I, our vet left for national service before Christmas and left our girls in the care of a covering vet, who’s English was zero leaving us in total radio silence.
On his return sadly SD who had not been doing so good passed away with pancreatic problems, this was devastating news for us to absorb.
We now have our friend Jane over looking proceedings out there and BD is doing ok although a little slim.
We continue to push for her to get home to us, it’s unknown territory for us and we are learning as we go.
We can not thank you all enough for your generosity and support the raffle raised a whopping £380 🤩🐾🐾

Hated saying goodbye to them yesterday but know they are in the best place with the best people and have video calls already arranged and will be going back out to see them again in the very near future. It’s going to be a long 5 months 🙏🐾🐾🐾🐾

This morning we had an amazing message from Omer who has also had his heart stolen by BD & SD, he has offered to take care of them, provide all veterinary treatment and sort their passports at cost only, so we can get them home, we are totally blown away by his kindness 🙏🙏🐾🐾🐾🐾

Been a long day waiting to get in and check on BD & SD today, also the worry of them possibly having Parvo 😞but under Omer Koca care and observation who we can’t thank enough, it’s more than likely the effects of the parasites leaving them after their treatment yesterday. They where happy to see us and boy did their litttle tails wag 😍 now to get them to Harp tomorrow where they will be staying for the next 4-5 months 🙏

We share a massive passion for dogs,
On our first day of our short break away to Belek,Turkey and we decided to go and explore the mountains. On the way we saw a man with his 2 young sons stood next to his car so we slowed down, on getting closer we saw he was dumping 2 tiny puppies, we stopped a little way up the road to watch him just drive off and leave them. Now people who know us know we couldn’t just leave them there to be run over and killed so we went and scooped them up to the safety of our hire car and sat wondering what to do now!
We are staying in a pet free hotel, we are in Turkey and neither of us can speak a word of Turkish 😟
So we head back in the direction we came from searching Google, Facebook for some help also stopping and asking people and had almost lost faith in the Turks as human we found a family that helped not only by phoning a friend who spoke English to come out to us made us coffee and gave the puppies a drink and some food and pointed us to a rescue centre. Big love to that family.
On arrival the rescue centre was closed and not responding to messages so we headed back to the hotel thinking could we smuggle these beautiful souls into the hotel or did we spend the night in the car with them!
When a lovely lady Jane reached out and threw us a massive lifeline.
Between her and the lovely guy on our hotel desk we found a vet willing to help us and look after them for the weekend but that’s only until Monday. We took them in and they where given immediate treatment for parasites as these poor pups where crawling and visibly worm bellied, they where put in a warm cabin and fed on the best food. We paid the bill and left but are allowed to go in to see them tomorrow (Sunday) now in the time we spent with them it seemed right to name them BD & SD big dog and small dog they have our hearts now. We want them to come home with us where they can have a decent life with a warm bed and food in their bellies and so much love, but to do this we really your help to get BD and SD home, it’s going to take 4-5 months we will be doing some fund raising events and also setting up a go fund me page. If you can help we would be ever so grateful.
