☀️🐾 Important Weather Update 🐾☀️

With exceptionally high temperatures forecast over the coming days, we wanted to reassure everyone that Muttley’s will remain open as normal, and our team will be taking every possible precaution to keep all dogs safe, comfortable and happy throughout the day 💚🐶

This includes:
💦 Constant access to fresh water and pools
🌳 Plenty of shade and cooling areas
🧊 Paddling pools, water play and cooling activities
🏊‍♀️Our new big swimming pool
🎾 Reduced physical activity during the hottest parts of the day
👀 Close monitoring of every dog throughout their stay

The welfare of our dogs will always be our number one priority, and we will be adapting our routines to suit the weather conditions.

That said, due to the severity of the forecast temperatures, we would ask that if you are able to keep your dog at home, please consider doing so. Reducing the number of dogs attending will help us ensure the highest level of care and comfort for those who do need to be with us.

We will be sending a message out to everyone via Collar, so if you would like to rearrange your dog’s session, please get in touch with us there and we will be happy to help 🐾

If you do choose to send your dog to daycare, please be assured that we will be doing everything we can to keep them cool, comfortable and safe while still making sure they have a fun day with their friends 💚

Sarah had a great time judging all the beautiful dogs from there were lots of different categories. And the over all Best in Show was the gorgeous old staffy Sammy.
Thank you for all who joined in. She would have given rosettes to everyone if she could 🐾💝 and thank you for the support you entering the dog classes gives to Every Paw Matters . Thank you to all who organised the show. And we saw Tatum with his new owners. Looking very happy 😃 🐾

🐾☀️ We’ve had a lovely couple of days here at Muttley’s! ☀️🐾

Yesterday the dogs made the most of the warm weather with lots of time out in the fields, plenty of play with their friends and some fun sniff and search games to keep their minds busy while staying cool in the heat 🌿🐶

Of course, all the water toys made an appearance too, helping the dogs cool off while still having the best time splashing, chasing and playing 💦🐾

Today was also a very special day as we celebrated our latest puppy group graduates 🎓🐶 We are so proud of every puppy and owner who has put in so much hard work over the last 6 weeks. It’s been amazing to watch their confidence grow, their skills develop and the bond between owners and their pups strengthen. The difference in them all from day one is incredible and we love being part of that journey 💚

Today is a busy day at Muttleys! We have Graduation this morning for both our intermediates and beginners and then Sarah our behaviourist is judging at the dog show at Lytchett fete, Every Paw Matters will also be there raising money and spreading awareness.

🐶💚 Another week of happy dogs, muddy paws, new friendships and plenty of fun at Muttley’s 💚🐶

As we head into the weekend, we wanted to share a few of our favourite moments from the past few days. From dogs racing around the fields with their best friends to those quieter moments enjoying a cuddle or a well-earned rest, it’s been a lovely week all round 🐾

One of our favourite things about daycare is seeing the different friendships that form. Whether they’ve known each other for years or have only just met, it’s always amazing to watch their confidence grow and their personalities shine through.

We’ve had lots of play, plenty of enrichment and no shortage of wagging tails, and the dogs have certainly kept us entertained every step of the way ✨

We hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and gets to enjoy some sunshine, plenty of adventures and, of course, lots of dog cuddles ☀️🐶

We’ll be ready to do it all again next week 💚🐾

WANT A SOCIABLE DOG?
Then you have to socialise it 🤷🏼‍♀️

We had a great socialisation walk this morning. Postponed from yesterday with the downpour.
Lots of lovely play with dogs being allowed to run and play together and happily meeting other dogs.
Some of these dogs struggled at being able to interact with other dogs, some weren’t allowed off lead until they worked with our lead behaviourist. Some have been working with Muttleys since they were pups through, daycare, puppy groups and 1:1s and have great socialisation skills. And here together we have some very happy dogs. And owners who are learning to be more confident and dog savvy.

💚🐾 National Volunteers’ Week 🐾💚

As it’s National Volunteers’ Week, we wanted to take a moment to recognise and thank the amazing volunteers who have given their time to Muttley’s over the years.

From throwing endless tennis balls and helping with enrichment activities, to giving out cuddles, making new dogs feel welcome and helping our pack have the best day possible, our volunteers have always played a huge part in what we do 🐶✨

They’ve stood out in the fields through all weathers, helped dry off muddy dogs during the colder months and supported our team with the day-to-day jobs that keep daycare running smoothly. Their hard work, enthusiasm and love for the dogs never go unnoticed.

Many of our volunteers want to pursue careers working with animals, while others simply wanted to spend their time helping dogs. Whatever their reason for joining us, they’ve all left their mark on Muttley’s and the dogs have loved every minute of having them around 💚

National Volunteers’ Week is all about recognising the incredible impact volunteers make, and we feel incredibly lucky to have had so many wonderful people choose to spend their time with us over the years.

So from all of us at Muttley’s — thank you. We couldn’t do it without you 🐾💚
