Teddy didn't have the easiest start in life and has a bit of a traumatic past, but he is now in the safest, most loving hands with his wonderful paw-rents. 🥹🏡

Teddy visited the salon for a gentle introduction session, which included a light brush-out, a soft trim, a paw pad tidy, and a nail clip. When working with rescue dogs who carry a lot of anxiety, keeping sessions short, sweet, and completely stress-free is the secret to success. It allows us to build a genuine bond with them and slowly ease them into the grooming process at their own pace! 🧭🐾

The power of patience: Bramble’s journey ❤️

When I first started grooming Bramble, she wasn’t a fan at all—in fact, she could be quite the little drama queen! 👑

We started with short, focused 'dry cut' appointment. This gave me the perfect opportunity to learn her specific triggers and understand exactly how to respond to her behavior. I quickly realized that when Bramble got stressed and 'told me off,' she didn't need force—she just needed cuddles, patience, and time to reset. 🥰

Fast forward to today, and she travels all the way from Bath for her regular appointments! Taking that dedicated time both before and after the groom for us to have cuddles together has completely changed everything. Now, she trots in with an excited, waggy tail! 🐾👋

Building trust takes time, but seeing a happy dog on the table makes every single second worth it.

Hi Jess here!

I began my dog grooming journey in 2023, and that’s when I met Ellie. From day one, she took me under her wing, teaching me with patience, skill, and the kind of genuine care that you don’t come across often.

Ellie opened her own business in September last year, but she’s been grooming for around seven years. Her experience shows in everything she does, the way she handles each dog with kindness, the pride she takes in her work, and the calm confidence she brings to every appointment.

Im so glad to be back working with Ellie, and also shear my experiences, through having worked elsewhere for that time, and showing off some of my grown skills, confidence and understanding.

Duck farm craft workshop is also the most beautiful place to work. There's always something new in the courtyard, so keep your eyes pealed. Or have a nosie in some of the other business here, everyone is so friendly. And dont forget the cafe, they have amazing choice for you and your doggie.

I feel incredibly lucky at the moment. Back working with my friend (now best boss) and being part the amazing team with Donna, in an amazing location and salon, feeling as happy as ever💗
