Hi Folks,
I’m happy to say that this year seems to be improving for us, Nick has successfully had his heart surgery and is recovering well, it has been a tough couple of years but we can now move forward and make plans to enjoy the times we have missed, life hasn’t been easy but onwards and upwards! ☺️
I’m overwhelmed by the words of kindness and understanding, Thank you to all who has asked after him, it means a lot to us both.

Here at the salon Maddy and I are catching up on rescheduled appointments and are settling into a routine, this last year has taken its toll on me though and I feel I need to get some time back to do other projects that have been put on hold, like my Tattoo business that had to take a back seat while I concentrated on the salon, so as of April I will be working Tuesday - Fridays here to give me some time to pursue my other interests, I will be working the odd Saturday but these are currently full, in fact my books are currently closed to new customers as I already have an abundance that I may need to condense due to the new work schedule, I will do all I can to accommodate my loyal regular customers.

We have some events coming up this year, weddings, concerts and our first holiday in a couple of years! But otherwise the moving about of appointments should be limited, again I want to thank you all so much for being so patient with us and I also want to thank Maddy for being awesome even though she was thrown in the deep end when she started here! 👊🏻

So let’s hope the sun comes out soon and we can keep up with these positive vibes! X

Hi Folks,
The salon will be temporarily closed for 2 weeks from today (pending Nicks recovery)
This last 12 months have been a nightmare but we are slowly making progress!
As most of you are aware my husband, Nick, has been waiting for major heart surgery, the journey has been rocky to say the least as it’s been cancelled 5 times now, but today, his 6th attempt, it is finally going ahead! As I write this he is in surgery and I should find out in 3 or 4 hours how he’s doing, if you want updates on his journey then please follow me, Lisa Cheesman for regular updates, as long as you don’t mind some colourful language and humour!

I am sorry for any inconvenience these last few months have caused, it’s been tough with 5 cancelled surgery dates that have led to chaos at work, I hate messing my customers around and letting people down with all the rearranging or missed correspondence, my diminished communication has been from the overwhelming stress and limbo we have found ourselves in and hopefully once Nick is home we can get back to some kind of order.

I haven’t been able to reply to all texts, emails etc yet this year and I will try to catch up soon but my family always have to come first, I will be getting in touch but I am now booked up solid to try and catch up so have no availability till end of March beginning of April at the moment until I have cleared the backlog, I am not taking on new clients at the moment as I already have more than I can cope with.

There may still be the odd day I have to rearrange due to Nicks post Op check ups but all being well with Nicks surgery and recovery we should get back to being awesome soon 😊

I just want to give a shoutout to my employee and pain in my arse, Maddy Crumpton who has been amazing through all this, helping me reschedule customers and doing a great job in her training, Thank you ☺️

Hi folks,
the salon will be closed for a couple of weeks (subject to change) while my husband, Nick, goes in for major heart surgery, yes I know we have been though this before but this time it’s actually going ahead, as I write this I am in the hospital for his admission!

My plan is to have him home and settled in the next couple of weeks and be back to work by the 26th but that all depends on his recovery.

Maddy and I will do our best to reply to any correspondence but please be patient with us, the office phone will not be checked for a while so best to text the system, email on [email protected] or message on here, please don’t call my mobile number as it’s also my personal phone.

Happy New Year folks! Hope you had a great Christmas 🎄

I’m not gonna lie, this year has really kicked my butt and left me feeling like Cora here in these photos!! 😂 and although there are still some challenges ahead of me I’m hoping 2026 might be a little kinder and throw me some better luck, that being said I’m grateful for everything I have and I don’t take anything for granted including my customers who have stuck by me and supported me through this difficult year,

We just wanted to take a moment to thank our wonderful clients for their patience and support recently, I had a rather rude review on google about us not answering a message and I just wanted to explain that things have been a bit tough behind the scenes — family health issues and some very poorly pups have made life a little more complicated than usual, we deal with hundreds of existing and new customers enquiries and it’s hard at the best of times to keep up with admin, myself and Maddy are doing our very best though and there are just never enough hours in the day, We’re still working hard to keep tails wagging and coats shining, and your understanding has truly kept us going. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕🐶

Hi Folks!
As the year rolls on I have some more updates for you, I’ll be glad when this year is over and done with! 🫣

So, as many of you know, my Husband, Nick, was supposed to have major heart surgery in May, this was cancelled the day before he was admitted which left us in limbo for months 🙄 we have now been given a new date of the 2nd November so as you can imagine we are busy organising work schedules, lifts up to Bristol, dog sitters and preparing home for his return after surgery so there is a lot going on.
Firstly I want to thank everyone who has sent him love and well wishes for his procedure, we are both very grateful, that also goes for my customers who have rescheduled their appointments so I can close the salon for the two weeks that I need to be home to care for him, I’m hoping that he will be home and settled by the end of the two week duration and I can rally the troops to be at his beck and call while I head back to work on the 17th November, this is obviously subject to change if there are any complications and he needs me home for longer.

At this point the salon will not be taking on any new customers until the new year as I have to make my existing customers a priority, myself and my new assistant, Maddy, are dealing with many customers as well as grooming so please be patient if I don’t reply immediately, I have many platforms on which customers contact me and it takes a great deal of time to respond.

I want to be open with you all about the hardships I have faced these last few months with one thing and another, and juggling life and work has been challenging, I don’t want to let anyone down and will be as helpful as I can be, but I’m exhausted both mentally and physically at the moment 🫩 I’m no quitter however and although there are more hurdles to jump in the near future I’m hoping with the support and love of those around me I can push through to better times ahead, Nick is my number one priority at the moment and the uncertainty of what to expect from this experience is all consuming for both of us right now.

Thank you so much for your support, understanding and kindness during this time 🥰, you never know how people are feeling or what they are going through, or have been through so be kind to each other my friends x 🫶🏼✌🏼
