Can you help?……..
We have our fundraiser easter egg hunt coming up 19th April and to raise as many funds as possible we are asking for your help with easter egg donations.

Can you give a bag of small individually wrapped chocolate eggs, we need lots of these for the prize bags or a larger egg for golden egg prizes.

Drop off can be at the rescue or we do have volunteers in Stalbridge, weymouth, poole and shaftesbury who will accept them.

Last year this was a big success and raised lots of funds for the rescue, let’s hope this year can be bigger and better!!

On this international women's day, I would like to say a big thank you to all the women ( and men ) who continually support us.
Who would have thought something i fell into to help a local dog rescue would see us now over eleven years on, with an irreplaceable team of volunteers
( 99% women).
And nearly 2, 500 followers!
Thank you everyone who loves and cares about ALL animals ❤️

With lots of new intakes over the last couple of weeks and more requests coming in daily to rehome it’s time to start introducing them to the Angel community

This morning Toffee was keen to meet you all and isn’t he a darling, he is 5 1/2 years old, neutered and up to date with vaccines including the new strain.

Let’s all welcome Toffee and look forward to finding him his forever home 🏡

Well, Tuesday 4th of March will be a day to remember! We started by picking our lovely vet up around 9.30 the promise of a cheeky and well-earned glass of something cold and refreshing at the end of a very busy day was something to look forward to.
The day went on like a well-oiled machine, rabbits appeared from foster mums/ rabbits moved around. Enclosures scrubbed and disenfected while the shanty town of runs reappeared on a slightly muddy lawn.
A constant supply of tea/coffee/snacks helped keep us going,
thankfully it was a cold but bright sunny day.

Fast forward 70 rabbits health checked and vaccinated against the new virulent strain of vhd.

By 9pm we have three shattered volunteers including our vet, who have managed to last the day, with others coming to help around their other commitments.

Our quarantine mum had to make a couple of trips, ferrying rabbits from her house to the rescue and back again. However, by the power of a few dedicated, amazing ladies it's a wrap!
( for the moment ).

The biggest thank you to Piddle Valley Vets for being so switched on about the new strain of vhd.
David Holla puts up with me, and has been amazing over the years.
A small independent practice gets my vote over big companies any day! All the staff their are lovely.

Then there is Anna, well what do I say, I think Anna is one of the cleverest people I know. And has a true understanding about animals.
She is always gentle with the rabbits, chatting to them, reassuring them.
Since she has been Piddle Valley Vets she has looked after us so well....and I'm proud to say she's my friend, ( a mutual strange scence of humour helps )

Our volunteer Kate is a big fan and attended the adult panto today starting reigning UK Queen Kyran Thrax and the super talented Davina de Campo, A’Whora and Marina Summers……. Who all signed the Tin Man Pop Vinyl figure.
