During this time of year we often see a rise in wildlife needing veterinary attention, especially fledglings (A young bird that is learning to fly).
Fledglings are often out of the nest and on the ground as part of their natural development, and their parents are usually nearby, watching and feeding them. We would like to please ask that you only intervene if the fledgling is in immediate danger or has visible injuries.
Sometimes interfering can cause stress to the bird which can be too much for their young bodies, and may lead to them being rejected by the parents even when returned to the area.
