Annie - Domestic Short Hair - 1 year 2 months - Female
Annie came into our care heavily pregnant and settled in foster care where she gave birth to her three beautiful kittens. She is a very loving and loves to be around people.
Annie would like access to the outside world again and enjoys looking out of the windows. Annie would love to be rehomed with children over 5 years but would need to be the only cat in the house and wouldn't like to be around dogs. Annie is looking for a home where she can get all the fuss and attention.
If you are interested in offering Annie a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Today is World Pet Memorial Day, a gentle reminder of just how much love our furry & non-furry friends bring into our lives, and how deeply they’re missed when they leave us.

We want to take a moment to say thank you to those who have supported the centre in memory of a beloved pet. Whether it’s through a donation, a kind message, or simply sharing stories with us, it means so much. These thoughtful gestures help us continue caring for the animals who still need us, in honour of the ones who came before.

If you’ve ever thought about making a donation in memory of a special companion, please know it truly makes a difference and helps their love live on in a meaningful way. 🐾💛

As National Volunteers Week wraps up, we just want to say a massive thank you to every single person who gives their time, energy and care to help make a difference.

From the amazing team of volunteers at the centre caring for animals day in and day out, to our brilliant fosterers who open their homes and hearts to pets in need. To those working hard in our shops, and the corporate groups who get stuck in with projects that keep the centre ticking, your support means the world.

Whether you're cleaning pens, helping with groundwork, walking dogs, socialising cats, driving the van, helping at our many events or working on the shop floor, we couldn’t do this without you.

If you've ever thought about volunteering, now’s a great time to join the team. There’s a role for everyone, and every hour given helps animals get the love and care they deserve. Head to our website to find out more and get in touch! today!

Opossum - DSH - 5 years 2 months - Male

Meet Opposum. He came into our care as an injured stray. He had a nasty wound which was infected and needed treatment. Opposum found cattery life quite overwhelming at first but is making great progress every day and showing us his lovely personality. He loves having a cheek massage whilst chatting about his day, as well as enjoying some treats. Opposum is now ready for adoption and is on the lookout for his new home. He may be able to live with another cat and with children aged 12+.

If you are interested in offering Opossum a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Poppy - Pocket Bully - 2 years 0 months - Female

Poppy arrived as a shy little lady, unsure of the world around her – but with gentle care and patience, she’s truly blossomed into a more confident, affectionate dog. Her journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but every day she shows more of her bright personality, and it’s been such a joy to watch her come out of her shell. This cuddly girly absolutely adores a snuggle and will happily curl up beside you for some quiet time – but she’s also not afraid to let her voice be heard! One of her favourite pastimes is to show off her beautiful singing voice when she thinks that nobody's watching - it’s all part of her charm! Poppy has previously lived with other dogs in the home, but she hasn’t had much experience interacting with dogs out and about, although we have found her progressing with her socialisation. Because of this, she would be best suited to being the only animal in the home for now, where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. She could also live with children aged 16 and over, ideally those who have experience with strong, sometimes silly dogs, and can help create a calm, stable environment where she can continue to thrive. Though she’s come a long way, Poppy still has lots to learn about the world, so she’ll need a kind, patient adopter who can support her ongoing confidence-building. With time, consistency, and plenty of love, this special girl is sure to flourish even further.

If you are interested in offering Poppy a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.

Angel - Pocket Bully - 2 years 0 months - Female

True to her name, Angel is a sweet, affectionate girl who’s just bursting with love to give. Her favourite place in the world? Curled up beside you, soaking in all the cuddles and snuggles she can get. If you’re after a companion who’ll warm your heart (and your lap), this girly is the one for you. This little lady has the best puppy-dog eyes you’ve ever seen, and she doesn’t hesitate to use them to her advantage – especially when there’s a treat or tummy rub involved! Angel is still finding her feet when it comes to the outside world. New sights, sounds, and experiences can be a bit scary for her right now, so she’ll need a calm, patient adopter who can help her grow in confidence at her own pace. Angel has the potential to become more confident when out and about, but she’ll need plenty of time, gentle encouragement, and understanding to get there. Right now, the outside world can feel overwhelming for her, so it’s important that her adopters are happy to let her set the pace, and so slow, positive introductions to new experiences will be key. Angel’s looking for a quiet, loving home where she can feel safe, settle in slowly, and be truly cherished. In return, she’ll give you unwavering loyalty and affection. Angel has lived with other dogs before and does enjoy the company of calm walking buddies, but for now, she’ll need to be the only animal in the home so she can focus fully on building her own confidence. She could also potentially live with children aged 16 years and over who understand her needs and can help create a quiet, nurturing environment where she feels safe and supported.

If you are interested in offering Angel a home, please visit www.rspcadoncasterrotherham.org.uk for more information or to apply.
