Hannah’s Happy Hounds Home Boarding, Day Care & Dog Walking Services

Hannah’s Happy Hounds Home Boarding, Day Care & Dog Walking Services A loving home from home experience for your dog, with plenty of fun walks and snuggles 🐾🐶❤️ I have possessed a great love of dogs from being a young girl.

Hannah’s Happy Hounds - Our Story So Far...

Hannah’s Happy Hounds was established in February 2019, by myself, Hannah Martin. Over the years I have been involved and helped with various Dog and Cat rescues. So in 2019 I finally decided to follow my heart and take the plunge, ending a successful career to work with dogs......You only live once!! On the back of 2019, I made the decision to expand a

nd duplicate my business model, around the Doncaster area, and most recently Rotherham. I believe as a Home Boarder and Dog Day Care provider, our role is to offer a ‘Home from Home’ environment, where the dogs are integrated and can enjoy cuddles from all the family. All the dogs are walked daily according to their age, breed and owners instructions. I personally enjoy offering the dogs mental stimulation on their walks, exposing them to different environments and surroundings, this all bodes to a happy and content dog that enjoys their days with us. Pooch ownership is on the rise, with more and more people seeing their dogs as family members, not just a household pet! The thought of putting their beloved dogs into kennels terrifies a lot of owners, and more are opting for Home Dog Boarding . That said there are many superb kennel establishments around, it just boils down to personal preference. If you're looking for Dog Walkers in the Doncaster area, look no further. We have an amazing team, that believe in positive enforcement training, so not only will your furbaby have an enjoyable walk, you know they're in safe, kind hands as well. All of our Dog Walkers are fully experienced and insured. Our Mission Statement
’Brighten the day of every dog that visits, with a kind heart, warm words and a loving home’

If Dogs Could Talk, They’d Choose Hannah’s Happy Hounds

Most of our dogs that come to us are repeat customers, which I feel speaks volumes. The dogs always arrive happy and leave content. All dogs are trialled to ensure they get along and most become best friends, it’s like they have their own little gang and their own best buddies. All the dogs are unique and have their own characters and we embrace this, and love each and every one on of them for their little individual quirks. Why not get in touch for a trial today and let your furry family member become part of the Hannah’s Happy Hounds Family. We look forward to hearing from you.

UPDATE!! Temp foster family found ❤️

**URGENT HELP NEEDED!!**

I’ve been on the phone this morning to a lady who was heartbroken, literally sobbing (can’t disclose her name on FB). She is in the awful situation of being made homeless today. Her Mum has just passed away and her relationship has just broken down. She has nowhere to go that will accept dogs and unfortunately, we can’t help with her gorgeous pooch Betsy as her vaccinations aren’t up to date. Betsy is her world and she doesn’t want to lose her! Is there anyone who would be prepared to help temporarily foster. I’m researching other options today as well. Due to the circumstances she can’t offer any financial assistance at this time to anyone who can help with fostering. Betsy is a Sharpei cross and is 8 years old. She is brilliant with dogs, cats and children of all ages.

**FUREVER HOME NEEDED**
Posting on behalf of a friend! The vets have advised that Ocean needs a home where he will have access to the outdoors.

A bit from Ocean’s Mum. I have to find a new home for my baby boy ocean … he’s very very unhappy because he cannot play out as I live in a flat, he needs a home where he will be loved because he deserves it, he’s a wonderful boy and this is breaking my heart. If anyone knows of anyone please let me know

Good advice!!

Good advice!!

We know how much you love your dogs - and your children. And most of the time, things go just fine. But every year, we’re contacted by families devastated that a dog has snapped or bitten - often during busy times like school holidays.

And more often than not, the dog was showing signs they were uncomfortable… but no one realised. 😢

That’s why we’re sharing this important reminder.
It’s not about blame - it’s about awareness and safety.

🐶 Things we shouldn’t allow children to do with dogs:
🚫 Sit or lie on them
🚫 Grab their face or kiss them
🚫 Climb into their bed or crate
🚫 Disturb them while eating, chewing, or sleeping
🚫 Chase after them to grab toys or food

These moments might look sweet - but for many dogs, they feel overwhelming or even threatening. Most bites don’t come “out of the blue” - they come after a dog has been trying to say no in the only ways they know how.

📊 Did you know? 77% of dog bites come from the family dog or a friend’s dog.
These aren’t dangerous dogs - they’re just dogs who have been pushed past their comfort zone.

✅ What we can teach instead:
💛 Sit on the floor, not on the dog
💛 Pet-pet-pause - 3 seconds of gentle stroking, then stop and see if the dog wants more. If not respect their space.
💛 Let sleeping dogs lie - rest time is important for everyone
💛 Give them space when eating or chewing
💛 Let the dog choose when to interact

With supervision, kindness, and a little knowledge, dogs and children can grow up safely and happily together.

📩 If you’re ever unsure, or your dog is showing signs they’re uncomfortable, drop me a message - I’m always here to help.
