PRICE CHANGES, please read full post.
As always, your pet's happiness and wellbeing is my top priority, but unfortunately, due to high runnng costs and fuel surcharges, from the 1st of April 2025 I have no choice but to implement a small price increase of Β£2.00 per dog.
Over the last six months, I have lost count of the number of appointments cancelled on me without any prior notice, this results in me actually driving to the location of the appointment only to find there is no one home or be turned away at the door as the appointment has been forgotten about. The customer then requests if the appointment can be rearranged at a more convenient time for themselves, but I cannot sustain this any longer, not only is it costly in wasted fuel. I then come home and do not earn any income.
Please understand - If I have made the journey to your house and you are not in, I have no choice other than to now introduce a missed appointment fee of Β£10.00, but If I get notified beforehand, I can then try and help you amend the appointment, or by offering it to someone else to minimise the impact on the business.
I appreciate that sometimes mistakes happen hence in 25 years of trading I have never had to do this even though most groomers do, but this is happening to me most weeks now and I'm afraid I just canβt continue to absorb the cost of the missed appointments.
The last thing I would like to address is Fleas, while I fully understand every dog gets them at some point, it seems some owners are not making any effort to treat them even when I have made them fully aware of the complications this has on your pet
My equipment is always cleaned and sterilised, between appointments but If I arrive and your pooch is infested with fleas, it also affects me and my work. I am forced to end my day and go home to shower and change, avoiding the spread to other customers.
This results in me cancelling appointments at short notice which again is unfair on customers who care for their pooch by implementing flea treatment programs.
Looking after your pooch safely and professionally, whilst safeguarding my business must take priority.
