Jasper 🤍

Jasper is the definition of a “hot-dog” 🌭🐶 so he has a dry (no bath) short clip all over, including his paws as he’s a magnet to grass seeds! 🌱

Jasper’s been a pal of mine for over 3 years now, & what started off as the most anxious boy (hence the no bathing), has become a lot calmer boy🐶

Jasper would cry, bark and howl the place down if his mum left, so after a year of his mum staying along side him, we decided to see if we could get him used to being groomed with just me, which has led us to the best behaved boy who I now don’t need to wear ear defenders for 🤣

Im so glad we’ve got to the point where he’s so much more relaxed being groomed that he no longer feels sad 🤍

It’s not always about the bathing, or the hair cut, but about building that relationship & trust between a groomer & a dog that the end result is always a positive one 🖤

Wilson 🖤

Wilson’s been coming to me for almost 3 years now. His mum is more than capable of grooming him at home but she prefers him to have his own pamper experience 🛁

Wilson is such a people dog, his mum wanted to see how he’d get on in a new different environment with a stranger, & because he loved it so much the first time, he’s been back every 2-3 months since!

He drags his mum through the door, jumps straight into the bath & then onto the table and he soaks up every second of it 🥹 this boy LOVES attention, & it’s so lovely for his mum to see him so comfortable with me 🖤

It’ll be a few months until I see Wilson again while I go off on maternity, but I can’t wait to have his wiggly bum back in 🖤

GRASS SEEDS 🌱

Check your dogs on a routine basis for these pesky seeds! They’re very easily imbedded especially in places you wouldn’t expect.

This one was located by myself in the back of the dogs ear.

Thankfully, it hadn’t gone the full way through, it only had a small amount of head sticking out, so I was able to get hold of it without causing the dog any discomfort and remove it, followed by cleaning advice and a vet check for antibiotics if required.

You can see in the last picture the hole & swelling it’s left, and the 3rd picture how big it really was!

Always keep an eye out for these, fleas & ticks this time of the year! 🌵
