Information - not here yet, thank goodness! When I was training, this was considered a sub-Sahara disease, we were told highly unlikely it would ever reach Southern Europe!!!!

Cases of bluetongue virus (BTV) are rapidly increasing in both sheep and cattle. Clinical signs appear to be more severe than previous years, resulting in high mortality in sheep.

NSA is urging sheep farmers not to be complacent but to follow the lead of growing numbers of farmers and speak to their vets about assessing the risks of BTV-3 in their flocks and taking action to protect animals.
