Delighted to have been updated that my darling girls operation was a success and she’s recovering well 🙏 here she is recovering at the vets.
Thank you all so much for thinking of her and wishing her well. Can’t wait to see her tomorrow 🥰

She doesn’t look like she’s in pain, does she? Yet for almost 5 years my beautiful girl has been living with a slipped disc pressing on her spinal cord. Tomorrow she goes in for her spinal surgery to finally have it removed.
This has been such an important reminder to me that dogs are such experts at hiding pain. The little subtle changes in behaviour are often the first clues something isn’t right.
As trainers, we obviously can’t diagnose medical problems (that’s a vet’s job under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966), but we can and do notice the subtle signs of pain and encourage owners to seek veterinary advice if we feel it’s worth looking into.
If you ever suspect your dog might be uncomfortable, please don’t wait - get them checked.
Krissy will be worried sick about her tomorrow, please keep her in your thoughts for a successful operation and recovery 🙏🤞🏻
