Hi everyone, I wanted to update you properly on the recent cancellations and delays.
Last Monday night I became unwell and it turned out to be a very nasty flu. For most of this week I have been extremely unwell and unable to function, with symptoms that were close to requiring hospital care. At the start of last week we were also dealing with severe weather conditions, with ice and snow making travel unsafe.
On Thursday, I was involved in a car accident. Thankfully everyone involved came away unharmed, although the vehicles were not as lucky. The physical pain, stress and shock have had an added impact on recovery. The flu body aches and exhaustion have doubled, and I am still currently in bed coughing, vomiting, in pain and struggling to eat enough to regain strength.
On top of this, NIE have scheduled work next week which means there will be no power on the 15th Jan , so a day less available next week to put dogโs needing appointments asap into and a day with more dogs cancelled.
I am hopeful to be able to start work again on Tuesday, but this is not confirmed at this stage and will depend on my recovery.
I currently have 22 dogs that need to be rescheduled, alongside dogs who were already waiting for January appointments after December was fully booked. January was already at capacity, and with my health still far from normal levels , it is simply not possible to absorb all of this at once.
All cancelled appointments will be rescheduled as soon as I am able. Dogs will be looked at in order of cancellation first, followed by those already waiting for new appointments. I know every dog needs an appointment asap. I do need to be honest that rescheduled dates will likely not be as prompt as your dogโs coat may ideally need, and certainly offered appointments will not suit everyone.
I completely understand if anyone needs to go elsewhere during this time. Unfortunately I cannot pass work to another groomer, as it is only me here.
I feel the weight of disappointing you all, but I also cannot safely push through while this unwell. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
