Hi everyone 🐾

I’m still in catch-up mode and working much longer hours than normal at the minute. This will probably continue until the middle of June, as lots of appointments have clumped together while I was recovering. I need to try and spread appointments out a bit more so I can get back to my normal working hours again.
Thank you all so much for being patient and waiting for me to recover — it really does mean a lot ❤️

When you get chance, if you could send me a few dates for the next few months, along with preferred days/times and how many weeks you like between grooms, I’d really appreciate it 😊
Also, if I don’t reply straight away, please don’t worry — I will get back to you. Lots of messages can get a bit overwhelming, so I tend to do things in batches as my ADHD brain can only function for so long 🙈

And if you see I’ve “read” your message, it doesn’t always mean I’ve properly read it yet — sometimes I’ve just flicked it off my screen while I’m busy. I’d rather reply properly when I’ve got the time than send rushed replies ❤️

It breaks my heart to be writing this post. 💔
As a groomer, I become so close to every dog that comes through my door. Over time, I learn all their little quirks, their likes and dislikes, and build such special bonds and friendships with them. When one of those precious fur babies passes over the rainbow bridge, it truly is the hardest part of this job.
Sadly, three very special doggies have recently crossed that bridge and are now running free in doggy heaven. 🌈🐾
✨ Benji ✨
My gorgeous little Yorkshire Terrier who had been with me right from the very beginning of my grooming journey. Benji certainly had his quirks — trying to bite me (or gum me once he lost his teeth!) whenever I groomed his face, trotting around the salon like he owned the place, turning his head every time I tried to take a photo, and absolutely hating being picked up for cuddles. But that was Benji, and I loved every bit of him.
Now reunited with his brother Alfie, I know they’ll both be having the best time together again. Thank you, Benji, for being such a wonderful little character to groom. I will miss you so much. Please keep watching over your mummy and comforting her when she needs you most. 💙
✨ Poppy ✨
Beautiful Poppy, another long-term customer who I felt so privileged to groom. Poppy wasn’t always keen on people, but over time we built a lovely understanding and bond — we just got each other. Her stunning piercing blue eyes made her look like such a little princess.
She also loved telling me off whenever I groomed her face… but honestly Poppy, I’d probably react the same way if I were a dog! 😂
Fly high, lovely girl. I know you had the most wonderful life and were so deeply loved. Keep being your fabulous self up there in doggy heaven, and make sure you keep watching over your mummy down here too. Love you, Pop Star. Rest peacefully beautiful girl — I’ll miss you lots. 💜
✨ Tilley ✨
My beautiful, stunning Cockapoo who had been with me from almost day one. Thank you, Tilley, for trusting me and for always being such a good girl. You loved your treats, loved hiding under the chair from me, and gave the absolute best cuddles.
I am so incredibly sad that you’ve crossed the rainbow bridge, but I know you’ll be looking after everyone in heaven just as lovingly as you did here on earth. I will miss you so much, my beautiful girl. Fly high, sweet Tilley. 🤍
These three gorgeous souls brought so much joy, laughter, love, and personality into my grooming room, and I feel incredibly lucky to have known them all.
Run free over the rainbow bridge, beautiful babies. 🌈🐾

✨ WHEN VALUES MATTER MORE THAN VISIBILITY ✨

Some of you may have seen that I was recently tagged as a finalist in the Animal Star Awards, so as always I want to be open and honest and share my decision.

I’m very grateful to have been considered, however after some thought, I’ve decided to withdraw from the awards.

I don’t want something meaningful in my life to be turned into something performative or transactional.

Having come from a background where integrity, fairness and doing the right thing truly matter, I hold those values very closely in how I run my business today.

What I do is also part of a personal wellbeing journey — constantly learning, improving, and doing things to the best of my ability — not for titles or recognition, but because it matters to me and the animals I care for.

I love being creative, having fun, and sharing what I do — whether that’s videos, photos, or creating special experiences — but that’s always for my clients and their dogs, not for self-promotion or to be seen as “the best.”

This business was built from a very personal place, and the trust I have with my clients — and their pets — means far more to me than visibility, promotion, or external recognition.

I’ll always choose to focus on consistency, care, and the relationships I’ve built through word of mouth.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support me — it truly means everything 🐾❤️

Does anyone have any pallets they don’t want or point me in the right direction where to get some?

I want to create a play area and something to separate dogs if I run over, just to make dog grooming a little easier when I run over and to make it more flexible for the owners. It’s the only thing that adds extra pressure to my day being totally restricted to time.

Hi everyone — just a quick update to keep you all in the loop.

My recovery is going well and heading in the right direction, with an anticipated return at the beginning of May. Thank you so much for your patience and support while I’ve been off — it really does mean a lot.
My first week back is already quite full with appointments I had to rearrange from April. I also have a physio appointment on Tuesday, which will give me a bit more clarity and confidence around my official return date. I want to make sure I come back safely and don’t risk setting myself back — but I’m feeling positive that we’ll be good to go.
I’ve now got my work phone back on. For those of you who have kindly waited, please send me a message with your preferred day and time, and I’ll start confirming bookings on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Looking forward to seeing you all again soon, this has been a long drag!

Teeth cleaning 🦷🐶 don’t SKIP

I know I go on about this a lot, but honestly it’s such an important part of your dog’s groom. It’s something I really believe should be added on regularly to keep on top of maintenance and avoid bigger problems later on.

I wanted to show you the difference between an initial clean and a maintenance clean… the results speak for themselves! (see photos 👀)

Your dog’s teeth should ideally be nice and pearly white, and their gums a healthy pink.

You might also notice some darker areas on the gums—this is completely normal and is called pigmentation. Some dogs naturally have black or dark patches on their gums, and that’s nothing to worry about at all 😊

What we don’t want to see is heavy yellow/brown plaque buildup, red or inflamed gums, or really bad breath—those are signs things need attention.

Don’t leave it too long to check your dog’s teeth. I completely understand how easy it is to put off, but dental issues can progress quickly, and once it reaches a certain point it may no longer be something that can be improved with cleaning alone. In those cases, you’re looking at costly vet treatment, possible extractions under sedation, and in severe situations it can seriously impact your dog’s quality of life. A quick check now and regular maintenance can make all the difference—not just for your wallet, but for your dog’s comfort and wellbeing.

Keeping on top of regular cleans helps prevent gum disease, tooth loss, and costly vet treatment further down the line.

Your fur babies bring so much happiness, and I’m so lucky to do what I do every day and have such wonderful customers. I know I repeat it, but I always have to say what’s on my mind — you all mean the world to me.
