am currently owned by 4 dogs - Geordie, Indie, Maisie and Promise. I have an Honours degree in Sports Injury Management, am First Aid trained, hold a PVG disclosure and I am fully insured. I am also trained in Sports Massage so can make sure your dogs are exercised and then help with any aches and pains you have,
I have been involved with fostering for the Blue Cross rescue for a few years and h
ave helped to re-home many dogs into forever homes. A lot of these dogs had physical or psychological issues. I helped re-train these by using positive re-inforcement. It is through this that I have the experience of many breeds of dogs with variable temperaments. Whether it be a large breed such as a newfoundland or a small breed such as a border terrier, I will consider every dog. Most of my spare time is spent doing Dog Agility. I compete most weekends during the summer with with my girls. My current competing dog is Maisie, travelling all over Britain and have been very successful. I have had a lot of success at Kennel Club shows, progressing up to the highest grade. I have also previously ran at crufts, Discover dogs, and qualified for Semi finals for Olympia horse show. I am very proud of this as Geordie was a rescue dog and came to me in a very bad way. Scared of everything and in turn she was very reactive - protecting herself from everything that she perceived as a threat, which was most things. It is through sheer hard work, a lot of TLC and giving her a job to do (the agility) that she is now a well balanced dog who is a pleasure to have in my life! Obviously things have ground to a bit of a standstill over the past year, however I have been trying to work hard on foundation behaviours so that when we can finally get back training and competing, my girls are excellent at the basics. Although dogs are my main passion, I also love working with horses. Whether it be going out on a hack, or doing general yard work, I find it very relaxing. So if you are going away on holiday, or even working late and cant get out to see to the horse then i am more than happy to accommodate whatever you need.
