β€οΈπΎ The Dogs Will Always Come First πΎβ€οΈ
The recent heatwave has been challenging for everyone, and as many of my clients know, I've had to make the difficult decision to cancel, shorten, or swap to home visits where i can in order to keep the dogs safe.
I won't pretend it's easy. Like most people running a small business, I still have a mortgage to pay, household bills, and all the usual expenses that come with everyday life. Every cancelled walk means a loss of income, and during periods like this it can really add up.
But no matter what the financial impact is on me, I will never compromise on the welfare of the dogs in my care.
These dogs are not just a number on a schedule. I know their personalities, their quirks, what makes them happy, and I care deeply about every single one of them. When temperatures are dangerously high, I couldn't live with myself if I put a dog at risk just to avoid losing money.
Being trusted with someone's beloved pet is a huge responsibility, and one I take incredibly seriously. If that means taking a financial hit to keep dogs safe, then that's exactly what I'll do.
However i do want to say a truly heartfelt thank you to those clients who continue to support me and pay for my services even when I've had to cancel because of the heat. Your kindness, understanding, and loyalty do not go unnoticed. Small businesses like mine survive because of wonderful people like you, and I am so grateful for your support.
Thank you for trusting me with your dogs. Their happiness, health, and safety will always be at the heart of every decision I make.
Stay safe, stay cool, and give your dogs an extra cuddle from me. β€οΈπΆ
