When the Covid lockdown happened I had a lot of time to think of what I wanted to do. I have always grown up with dogs but was unable to have one as I was working full time and it was not fair to have a puppy and go and leave it on its own. My mum has been diagnosed with Dementia for some time now and had a full-time carer with the help of myself and my sisters. my mum's carer and a good friend ha
d to leave so I decided to leave my full-time job and be my mum's main carer. I then decided to get Freda who is a small Labradoodle because I was now in the position to be with her and my mum all day, and she is a good help to my mum who loves her as much as I do. Unfortunately, my mum had a fall and broke her hip and has been unable to come home due to her not walking, her Dementia has got a lot worse so she is now in a Residential Care Home. I felt at a loose end as I was now not working or caring for my mum so I decided to do something for myself and am now doing a City & Guilds Dog Grooming Course at Paignton College, which I love. I have also done Pet First Aid, Pet Sitting/Dog Walking, Dog Grooming, and Canine Communication Diplomas online and have just completed a course for an Emmi-pet online training seminar covering canine dental health, and brushing techniques and methods. I am now currently setting up my Salon so I am able to work from home to do Dog Baths, Dry, Brush, Ear cleaning, Pad trimming, Nail clipping, and ultrasonic dog toothbrushing. Now I am doing what I want to do and really enjoying working with my furry friends.
