This is a pet bed that I have hand crafted by repurposing a vintage school desk and legs from a mid century drop leaf table.

I like to repurpose items that need some TLC or are destined for the skip.

To give you some idea of the history of the items that went into this pet bed; I got the school desk from a shop in Oxfordshire in 2022. I've not touched the finish on the desk to retain all the patina from the decades of use.

The legs are made from beech and were originally part of an Ercol brand mid century drop leaf table. I got this table from a house clearance in Northamptonshire. I went to pickup a tallboy cabinet but I saw the table outside along side some scrap wood. It was in a sorry state with the top being badly warped but I knew I could repurpose the beautiful wood.

I've stabilised the base with some plywood to reinforce the structure so you can be confident that your new pet bed will last for years to come!
