☀️ HOT WEATHER DOG SAFETY TIPS ☀️

With the temperatures rising tomorrow, here are a few simple ways to help keep your dogs safe and comfortable at home and on walks 🐶💛

🐾 Keep curtains/blinds closed to help rooms stay cool
🐾 Open windows safely for airflow and ventilation
🐾 Make sure plenty of fresh water is available
🐾 Avoid walks during the hottest part of the day (after 10am)
🐾 Check pavements with your hand before walking
🐾 Use shaded areas and keep activity light
🐾 Cooling mats, frozen treats, and paddling pools can help
🐾 Never leave dogs in cars — even for a few minutes

All Take The Lead walks tomorrow will be moved to much earlier in the day to avoid the peak heat ☀️

Please rather miss a walk, than miss your dog forever 🙌🏻
