Loudoun Veterinary Clinic We are a traditional independent mixed practice based in rural Ayrshire, consisting of small and large animal work, providing our own on call service.

Loudoun Veterinary Clinic was established on 1st May 2021 by Robert and Alison McElrea. Robert has been a vet in the village for over a decade and has gained a caring and respected reputation within the local area. Our main interest is the care and welfare of our patients, whether they are small or large animals. We cover our own out of hours emergency care to ensure that our client's pets are see

n by a familiar and trusted face. Our ethos is to provide an excellent health care service for your pet. New registrations are welcome, although contacting the practice to discuss your requirements is recommended. This can be conducted via e-mail [email protected] or by telephone 01560 322419.

Loudoun Veterinary Clinic will be closed Easter Monday.

A vet will be available for emergency treatment only for our registered clients. Please call 01560 322419 where you will be put through to an answer machine which will give you a mobile number to call if you require a vet in an emergency.

Please order prescribed medication for your pets prior to 5.00pm on Thursday 2nd April and collect any required prescriptions on Friday 3rd April 2026. We will not have a pharmacy delivery until Tuesday 7th April, please ensure your pets have adequate medication over the Easter weekend.

There has been an e-mail circulating from
PET CHIP advising that pet registrations are about to expire, they may be looking for owners to pay a fee so please be vigilant. If in doubt please check with your pets microchip company.

PRACTICE CLOSED MONDAY 21st APRIL 2025

Please note the practice will be closed on Easter Monday. In case of an emergency please telephone 01560 322419 where you will be directed to the on call mobile number. This service is for registered clients only.

Please allow 48hrs for any repeat prescriptions. Last collection for prescriptions will be 5.00pm on Friday 18th April 2025.

Our normal opening hours will resume on Tuesday 22nd April 2025.

As a result of the Red Weather Warning guidance, issued for the Central Belt and our local area, Loudoun Veterinary Clinic will be CLOSED on Friday 24th January 2025. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. We will be available for EMERGENCIES ONLY. All clients who have appointments have been contacted by a member of staff, if a member of staff has not been able to speak to you directly, a message will be left for you to contact the practice via the mobile given.
