I recently had a message saying I was “too expensive” 😬

When you book 1:1 sessions with me, you’re not just getting 1 hour of my time…

Let’s break it down 👇

- 1 hour of training & advice (minimum, I often run over to ensure I give as much as I can)
- Time spent sending emails/booking forms, sending extra advice via email/WhatsApp support 📧
- Travel time - sometimes I travel over 30 minutes each way!
- Fuel 🚙
- Notes/training plan - these take a good 20 minutes if not longer, they are tailored to each individual and written for you and your dog!
- CPD - I try my best to regularly complete CPD to keep adding to my current knowledge and to ensure you get the best training outcomes! 🐾
- Insurance
- Memberships - My memberships alone are nearly £40 a month!
- The list goes on!

So when I say the session is X amount of 💰that is NOT my hourly rate! Now work out my hourly rate off of the above… doesn’t sound so great does it? 😅

Plus I haven’t put my prices up for well over 3 years 🤯

So when you tell someone that they’re “too expensive” please think about all what goes into their business.

Think about qualifications, CPD, insurance & EXPERIENCE! (Anyone can call themselves a trainer or behaviourist without ANY of this!) 🤯All of it matters in my opinion.

Jo Bloggs down the road, may be half the price - but are they insured, what qualifications do they have, how experienced are they?

Equally, we all have to start somewhere!

What I will say is, I have no idea that when people get a puppy or even a rescue, why are we not factoring in the price of training that said dog?

Most people are happy spending £1000 plus on a puppy, but spending a few hundred on a good 4 week training plan seems to be a lot?

I really think we should be investing in our dogs so much more, at the end of the day - they are a massive part of our lives and will be for a good 15 years 🤞🐾

We are so grateful to our loyal pups for choosing to stay with us for their holidays.
To ensure that we are able to accommodate the dates that our guests need, we are closing our books to new clients for now.
If you are already registered with us, please do let us know if you need to make any reservations as our diary for the rest of the year is filling up fast.
For those who are not yet registered with us, but would like to be added to our waiting list, please do drop us a message.
We do still have limited availability for pet drop-ins, petsitting and wedding chaperone bookings.
