🩵☀️ Hot Weather Announcement ☀️🩵

☀️ During the hot weather there will be a lot of changes to keep your dog safe and healthy!

☀️ Dog walks will be cancelled once the temperature reaches 22°C/23°C or higher. This precaution helps prevent heat exhaustion and heatstroke, which can be life-threatening for dogs.

☀️ Dogs that are booked in for a walk will be on restricted exercise. This will be changed from a walk to a pop in and play or a 5-10 minute toilet walk. I will engage them in enrichment, games, activities to keep them happy, cool and safe. Dog walks will not be ‘walked’ as usual.

☀️ All dogs will be part of the above changes!

☀️ I will continually monitor the weather conditions & adjusting accordingly. Your dogs safety & wellbeing are my main priority.

☀️ A dog’s paws can blister, peel, and be severely damaged by walking on a hot surface. For example when the air temperature is 25°C the pavement is 52°C!

☀️ Any dog can get heat stroke! When the temperature is above 23° all dogs are at high risk of heat stroke! Sadly only 50% of dogs recover from heat stroke!

☀️Although changing routines can be inconvenient, safety is paramount. Remember, missing a walk is minor compared to the risk of heat-related issues
