Mia, Baline and Rosa are amazing, we really are so lucky to have such brilliant ponies who are worth their weight in gold. They not only done a fantastic job but they looked after each of their riders superbly. It was Rosa's first nationals and she grew in confidence as the weekend went on - it really is such a big ask for the ponies.

Govind was invited to the Nationals on Friday and met Paralympic rider Mari.

We need to thank Gracie, Pippa, Geena and Sue for all their hard work this weekend from getting the ponies to Hartpury and back safely, making them look beautiful, mucking out, walking the horses, hosing them off lots and everything else in between. This weekend wouldn't have been so successful and fun without you! Thank you to Val and Diane.J for cheering everyone on and of course to Lydia and Shiv who looked after the other ponies and yard whilst we were away. Thank you to Jayne for last minute embroidery on our new countryside challenge tops and the ponies rugs and to everyone that donated towards enabling us to go to the Nationals. It really does take so much work behind the scenes!

We are sad that our long term member of staff, Lydia, is leaving us in the middle of July to pursue a different career 😒
So we are on the look out for a brilliant new groom...if you have experience within the equine industry then please email your CV to [email protected]

Do you have a passion for horses? Whether you are already working within the industry or are an equine college leaver, we have an exciting opportunity for a Groom to join our team to start at the end of July 2025.

Ideally the candidate will have an equine qualification and at least 6 months industry experience.
You will work as part of an existing team to care for the 20 horses on site – RDA ponies and full livery clients. We take pride in caring for all horses at Arrow and provide top level care. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach, be a team player and have the ability to be conscientious whilst efficient with a good attention to detail and verbal communication skills.

The successful candidate will carry out general yard duties on our professional yard and school/exercise our ponies to enable them to do the brilliant RDA job that they do. All horses on our yard are a pleasure to be around. The position will also give insight into the RDA work we do, with the successful candidate helping with lessons and clients when required. For the right candidate, the opportunity to train to become an RDA coach through the RDA Coaching Pathway qualification is an option.

Hot hot hot πŸ₯΅ day today!! So for the wellbeing of our ponies and volunteers we changed it up from riding to bathing ponies πŸ›€πŸ§½. We had SOOOOOO much fun!!! And stayed cool 😎. Taught George how to spray the hose so everyone was soaked and then a little water fight at the end with staff, volunteers, Kayleigh and Olivia. Plus Eric, Champ, Baline, Bertie and Blue are sparkling ✨ πŸ’™

Behind the scenes at Arrow! Yesterday was dentist day for some of the ponies - some of them have to have their teeth checked every six months whilst others are once yearly. Our dentist Chris Keate done a brilliant job in the heat rasping any sharp edges and made sure they are in tip top condition πŸ‘πŸ». Not quite like visiting the dentist ourselves is it πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚. Thank you Chris and well done ponies πŸ’™
