A little something different to start the week... ❤️

I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of my amazing clients.

This heatwave has definitely thrown us all a curveball! Walks have become home visits, some have had to be cancelled altogether, and on other days we've been bringing walks forward and racing the heat to make sure your pups could still get out safely. Every week we've been waiting to see what the weather would bring, and it's been a learning curve for all of us. Together, we've adapted and found ways to keep your dogs safe while navigating this relentless summer.

I don't do this job for the money. Of course, earning a living is important. We all have bills to pay, but it's never been the reason I started Charlotte's Canines. I do this because I genuinely love what I do. Spending my days with your four-legged best friends brings me so much happiness and purpose, and I feel incredibly lucky that you've trusted me with them.

Because I care so much about what I do, making these decisions hasn't been easy. While I absolutely love this job, the last few weeks have been stressful. There's been constant weather checking, rearranging schedules, replying to messages, changing plans at the last minute and, hardest of all, cancelling walks or turning people away because it simply wasn't safe. Of course, that has meant losing income, but I'd choose a tighter month every single time if it meant keeping your dogs safe. Their welfare has always been, and always will be, my number one priority.

What has made these last few weeks so much easier is **you**. Every single one of you has been so patient, understanding, flexible and supportive. You've trusted my judgement, adapted your routines when needed, and never once questioned me for putting your dogs' welfare first. As a small business owner, that kind of trust and support means absolutely everything. I honestly couldn't ask for a better group of clients.

So, thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your best friends, for supporting my little business, and for helping me live my dream every single day. I genuinely appreciate every single one of you more than you'll ever know.

Now... can autumn hurry up please? 🍂🐾❤️

An early start today here! We managed to get most of the walks done, but by 12pm it was just too warm so we switched to drop in visits where the snuffle mats came right out and a bit if sniff n' search in the garden 🥰 I am pleased to see the temperature is slowly cooling over the next week 🥳

What a week 🥰 it's been so good to get back out with the beautiful babies! And thankfully my legs are starting to feel normal again! 😂

However...i have just seen... unfortunately we have another heatwave next week 🙈 which does mean I will have to alter times, change walks to visits where needed or cancel walks completely... I have decided to buy some snuffle mats and other little bits so if walks are changed to visits there will be plenty of enrichment to keep them mentally stimulated when walks are off the table ❤️

I wont say I miss certain seasons 👀 but I will say... when there was rain, sleet and snow we could still climb a mountain 👀 ❄️🌧☂️

We are back in full swing! Solo walks, group walks and drop in visits 🥰 although having a few days off from walks due to the heat - my legs are starting to say "WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME?!" BUT, it is so good to be back, watching the all of the gorgeous furbabies enjoy themselves, running around and living their best lives 😍
