The Dog Squad

The Dog Squad If you're struggling to give your dog all the walks it needs then please get in touch. Message for details. And finally, I also offer a cat feeding service.

My name is Laura Mathieson and I set up The Dog Squad just over four years ago now, offering a very reliable, flexible and friendly service in Cupar and surrounding areas, Monday-Friday. Group Walk - £14 per hour
Solo Walk - £18 per hour/£9.50 per half hour
Dog/Puppy house visits - £18 per half hour

I offer a holiday walking service if your dog is staying with friends or relatives who maybe can'

t give them all the walks they need while you're away. If you're on holiday and your cat would prefer to be at home, I can pop in daily to feed them and keep them company. If what you're looking for isn't listed above, please send me a message and I'll see if I can help. To book a free 30 minute "meet & greet" get in touch by phone, e-mail, messenger or WhatsApp

Happy 5th Birthday to Ivy! The biggest poser in the wood. She was lucky there was a space for her on today’s walk, so she was able to get out with her pals🐾❤️

Lovely walk, just me and my Ivy today. Walked from the house down to Crawford Priory, through Springfield and back along the Springfield Stratheden path. Just took our time, no plans today so nothing to rush back for. Roast chicken for tea to look forward to as well. Simple things 💗

Bumped into a horse today on our walk. We do see horses occasionally but I usually spot them from a distance and get everyone back on their leads. Came round a corner today and there it was, walking towards us. I cannot believe how good they were. Not one bark or growl from any of them. All of them stayed off their leads and sat down nicely for a treat as the horse trotted on. I was a very very proud dog walker 😊😇🐴👏

Look at that sky. Flipping lovely walk again today. Look how sad they all look when it’s time to leave 🤣

Had a bit of an “I love my life” moment on our walk today. It was the best walk. Sun was shining, birds were tweeting, it was peaceful and relaxing and the gang were impeccably behaved.
Lovely day to turn 8 too. Happy Birthday Pablo 🩵

Walked 6.45 miles from Crail to Kingsbarns today on the Fife Coastal Path with Ivy. What a lovely section, lots of opportunities to get her off the lead.

I had the privilege of walking Dexxter for just over 4 years. We used to walk 3 miles at a time, around Haugh Park, along the river and up to Tarvit Pond. He loved his walks with me, loved his ball and having a cool down in the river.

Last year we noticed he’d hurt his paw on a walk. It turned out he was struggling to lift his leg up and it was scraping on the ground. Dexxter gradually deteriorated and after tests his owners were told it couldn’t be fixed and it would gradually get worse.

Over the last few months walks became harder and a bit stressful for him, so his owners decided to buy him a set of wheels. That way he could still get out and about and still chase his ball. He got a lot of attention in those wheels and I was amazed he took to them as well as he did.

Sadly, on the 14th February 2026, Dexxter was put to sleep. Although it was the hardest decision, it was the right time to say goodbye.

I miss our walks ❤️‍🩹

Here’s a few photos of the handsome Dexxter.
