Our outdoor summer activity club got under way in the Spud Club this week.

Everyone got stuck in adding some finishing touches to our newly refurbished Pet Corner , plenty of pony riding and some crafty Mr Potato Heads.

Nutritional lunches were supported by our neighbours Spittal Porato Merchants who provided the vegetables for our Homemade Soups this week.

This event has been sponsored by Friends of Fossilfield and offers discounted places to existing Fossilfield families.

It runs every Wednesday throughout the holidays and ai.s to get children and young people outdoors and close to nature.

Our work at Fossilfield has always been about more than just training. A key part of what we do is social investment — supporting people who might not have had access to learning, skills or steady employment.

Through practical support, hands-on learning and a focus on inclusion, we’re helping people build confidence, develop skills and take steps towards a better future.

The first of the Fossilfield Summer League competitions began this evening with a Tack and Turnout.

Our competitors prepared.their horses and tack for an inspection by showing enthusiast Fiona Roy who picked the pretty Effet Special beautifully presented by Ellie Cross.

3rd Place Hayleigh McNab and Afterclass
4th Place Kirsty Little and Reaver.

It had been a very difficult decision as everyone had put a lot of effort into this task.
