🐴 **Every child deserves the chance to experience the magic of horses.** 🐴
At Fossilfield, we believe equestrian sport should not be reserved for a privileged few. Too often, children are prevented from taking part because of costs, transport challenges, lack of local facilities, or simply because they have never been given the opportunity.
That's why we strive to make riding accessible to ordinary children from all backgrounds. Thanks to East Ayrshire Council’s Anti-poverty and inequality funding Fossilfield offered 60 free equestrian sports places each week over the school summer holidays.
Equestrian sport offers so much more than learning to ride. It teaches **empathy**, as children learn to understand and care for another living being. It builds **commitment**, **responsibility**, and **confidence**. It encourages **patience**, **resilience**, and **respect**, while helping young people develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
For many children, time spent with horses can be life-changing, improving wellbeing, self-esteem, and providing a real sense of achievement.
At Fossilfield, we're passionate about breaking down barriers and opening the gate to the next generation, because every child should have the opportunity to discover the joy, friendship, and life lessons that horses can bring. ❤️
