Good morning everyone! ☀️

What an absolutely wonderful weekend we had! A huge THANK YOU from myself and the whole team to everyone who came out to support us in the glorious sunshine. Seeing the garden full of chatter, laughter, smiling faces, and people simply enjoying being together outdoors was just so special. We honestly feel incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful space — and even luckier to share it with such lovely customers and friends. 💛

As always, we love keeping things fresh and exciting, so keep your eyes peeled for some tasty new treats appearing this week… including the return of our summer favourite — homemade quiche! 🥗✨

Now for something we’re really excited about… we’re thinking of organising a Summer Fair in the garden with a handful of lovely local stalls, good food, and maybe even finishing the day with fresh pizzas and drinks in the garden as the sun goes down… 🍕🌿☀️

Introducing something seriously special…

Book and Bucket Wild Garlic Soft Cheese served on a toasted sesame bagel, topped with smoked salmon and capers. Finished with sides of our homemade slaw and crisps — fresh, bold, and packed with flavour.

🧀 And that’s not all…
Our much-loved Book and Bucket Gouda-style cheese has had an upgrade and is now the Smoked Wordsworth — richer, deeper, and even more delicious.

We had the pleasure of welcoming this lovely group of bikers last week — what a friendly bunch! 🏍️☕🍳

“8 bikers, on a tour from Hampshire down to the South West. Stopped mid-morning for just a coffee, but in seeing the food being cooked, had to order! The number of us didn't phase the amazing staff. What a special day at the café 💛

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the lovely Morris for lunch yesterday , who turns an incredible 105 years young next week! 🎉 Living life to the full and still out enjoying the simple things — it was a joy to meet him and celebrate together… with a free cake on us afterwards, of course 🍰
Huge shout out to Jason from HomeInstead care who brought him to see us, incredible.
A little reminder — you’ve only got one life. Make the most of each day.
