Today I wanted to share something very special with you all.

As many of you know, I am Andrea, and I have had the privilege of caring for your pets through The Vaccine Vet, providing mobile veterinary services across Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

First and foremost, I want to reassure everyone that The Vaccine Vet isn't going anywhere. We will continue to provide all the mobile veterinary services you've come to know and trust, with the same care, compassion and personal approach that have always been at the heart of what we do.

Over the years, I've been honoured to support so many families through every stage of their pets' lives. One service that has become increasingly requested is home euthanasia, and it's something I feel incredibly passionate about providing in the most gentle and compassionate way possible.

With that in mind, I'm proud to introduce The Gentle Crossing Vet 🌈🐾

The Gentle Crossing Vet is a sister service dedicated solely to compassionate home pet euthanasia, giving families the opportunity to say goodbye to their beloved pets in the comfort, peace and familiarity of their own home.

Although it has its own name and identity, nothing else changes. It's still a family-run business, it's still me caring for your pets, and the values and compassion behind everything I do remain exactly the same.

One important difference is that The Gentle Crossing Vet has its own dedicated phone number, available 24/7 (with appointments remaining subject to my availability alongside The Vaccine Vet).

The reason for a separate number is a simple but important one. When that phone rings, we will immediately understand the reason for your call. 💔 If we happen to miss it, we'll know there may be a family needing urgent support and can prioritise getting back to you as quickly as possible.

This service has been created from the heart, with one aim: to make one of the hardest days a pet owner will ever face feel a little more peaceful, gentle and supported for both pets and the people who love them.

Last week we had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to Apollo 🐾💔

Apollo, you were more than just a dog; you were a loyal companion, a gentle soul, and a deeply loved member of the family. Your kind nature and quiet strength brought so much comfort and happiness to everyone who knew you.

You fought so bravely through your illness, and Steph did everything she possibly could for you. That love never wavered for a second. Even though we had to say goodbye far too soon, you were surrounded by love until the very end.

It’s hard to accept that you’re gone, especially when you had so much more life and love to give. But we will always remember your soft spirit, your loyalty, and the warmth you brought into our lives.

Run free, beautiful boy 🌈
No more pain, no more struggles; just endless fields and peace.

You will always be loved, Apollo, and never, ever forgotten ❤️🐶

Meet Beasley 🐾

Beasley is one of my very special patients. I first met him almost six years ago for his second vaccination: just a tiny, fluffy puppy at the time. It was also the very beginning of my journey providing mobile veterinary services independently.

Over the years, we’ve both grown. Beasley has grown into a beautiful 35 kg Golden Retriever, full of personality and charm. And I have grown into a full time independent small animal mobile vet, proud to offer an alternative, stress-free veterinary service to pets and their families across the Liverpool area.

It’s always such a pleasure and an honour to see Beasley each year for his booster and kennel cough vaccinations. Watching my patients grow up alongside my own professional journey is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. 💛
