🚨 Kennel Cough 🚨

Hey everyone, just a quick heads-up—kennel cough is making its rounds in the area. Since it’s highly contagious among dogs, I kindly ask all clients to monitor their pups for any symptoms. If your dog is showing any signs, please let me know immediately, as they will need to quarantine until fully recovered to help keep all our furry friends safe.

⚠️ Symptoms to Watch For:
🔹 Persistent, dry cough (often sounds like honking)
🔹 Gagging or retching (as if trying to clear their throat)
🔹 Sneezing or nasal discharge
🔹 Mild lethargy or reduced appetite (in some cases)

🏡 How to Care for a Dog with Kennel Cough:
✔️ Keep them rested and limit physical activity.
✔️ Avoid exposure to cold air—use a humidifier to ease their throat.
✔️ Offer soft food or warm water over kibble if they seem sore.
✔️ Ensure plenty of fresh water to stay hydrated.
✔️ Honey or coconut oil (in small amounts) can help soothe irritation.
✔️ Isolate them from other dogs until symptoms fully resolve (usually 1-2 weeks).

While most mild cases clear up on their own, contact your vet if symptoms worsen (e.g., severe coughing, trouble breathing, or lack of energy).
