Chickens Ark unknowingly started in 2019 when we purchased 4 Silkies for our garden when we googled "Funny looking Chickens" and saw these little fluff balls on the screen. During the lockdown of 2020 we decided to expand and on the farm I grew up on we repaired an old shed which was used by my great granddad for chickens and added an outdoor run. We then started buying eggs to incubate and have s
lowly grown our flock, we are now at a point where we have 3 lovely well natured cockerels and nearly 30 fluffy hens which have the luxury of wandering the fields and a fancy new roofed run for when the weather isn't the best. We are more than happy to help people wanting to start their own back garden flock by supplying hatching eggs, full grown hens at point of lay and we can even provide DNA sexed chicks so you know exactly what you are getting. We can also supply eggs straight from the coop to your table. Silkie's eggs are lovely to eat, they're a little smaller than shop bought eggs but they make fantastic golden cakes, yorkshire puddings and work great on the side of any meal.
