Bank Holiday Weekend Complete✅🎉🌟

We’ve had a busy one with dogs checking in & out of sleepover club🏡🧳

Now time to continue battling the heat🌞🐾

Paws Parade’s Hot Tips!☀️🐾

After almost a decade of PP, we’ve really seen it all..

Apart from the obvious, cool mats, shade & water ~ here’s some you might not of thought of⬇️

☀️ SKIP BREAKFAST - As we all know by now it’s dangerous to feed dogs straight before or after walks due to GDV but if you can exercise them early before temperatures rise, skip the breaky & feed them later

☀️ THE ANTI-SOCIAL LOOK - keeping all blinds & curtains closed throughout the day helps keep the entire house cool

☀️ FROZEN SNACKS - help pass the time your dogs are shut indoors & help cool them down, just shove some carrots in the freezer for a low calorie healthy snack that lasts longer!

☀️ DON’T COVER DOGS CRATES - we know this makes a cosy den to help them settle but we need to be maximising airflow during a heatwave, not the opposite

☀️ CLOSE WINDOWS & DOORS - If the outside temperature is already warmer than indoors, having them open will have the opposite effect and actually warm your house up

☀️ ARTIFICIAL VS REAL GRASS - Have you stood on both and felt the difference? Or even better lay on it? Dogs organs are the most important part of them to keep cool (under their bellies) so you don’t want them lying on something that’s already warm

☀️ NO FLUFFY BEDDING - It feels cruel to be kind, & we’re very pro crate here, but imagine being locked in a crate full of bedding you can’t escape🥵 nothing or a thin towel is better than playing princess & the pea with your fur covered friend

☀️ SUNBATHE IN PEACE - I personally am a sun lover and we don’t get much of it in this country, have some peace & quiet in the garden without feeling guilty your dogs inside (hopefully they’re settled after your early morning walks anyway!) 💤

☀️ BUSY DOGS BOREDOM - Trust me I KNOW, I’ve currently got 2 working line German Shepherds living with us that need regular exercise & stimulation, low impact ‘brain training’ is the only way we’ll survive😆 but also why you should work with a dog trainer year round to learn how to settle your energetic dog pre-heatwave season🌟 ‘Lazy dog’ owners.. you are blessed if your dog will just snooze the day away🙌🏽

A Story Of A Foster Pup💫…

Shadow’s not in for boarding with us🙈 she’s officially moved in to us due to unforeseen circumstances which to be honest has all been a bit of a last minute decision

Being one of our regular weekly walkers and already a pretty social butterfly, and attempting & failing at trying to help find her a home, we had to step in

We’re not entirely sure what this is at the moment but if anyone wants any more information on Shadow or might just ‘know someone that knows someone’ with a 10 month old GSD space in their heart, we’d love to speak with you🙏🏽

We all just want what’s best for Shadow & we won’t be putting her into a kennels environment, but if we think we can find a home more suited to her than ours as a young active dog requires a lot of attention & guidance, we will move her on, if and when the times right🤎🌟

ADMIN HOURS👩🏽‍💻…

For general enquiries & bookings our admin hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Dogs boarding with us over weekends/bank holidays will still receive pupdates📸

We aim to get back to all messages within 24hrs & ‘dogs of the day’ messages are always prioritised🌟

Lucy is always working out of hours & has broken our own rules many times but will try & stick to the same schedule also🤭😂

RUBY💛 passed her trial night with flying colours, literally ➡️🤣

What an angel of a young pup at only 5 months old🌟 Until next time little one!🥰

This coming Monday 25th is another Bank Holiday so our walking Team are off as always🐕‍🦺🚶🏽‍♀️

Schools are also off next week so any dogs not requiring their regular walks ~ please let us know ASAP🙏🏽🐾🌟

Good girl requests get special treatment🤭 Dobby really is a ‘take anywhere’ kind of dog, an absolute superstar🌟🥰
