🐾 Training Spotlight: Calm Car Manners with This Beagle Star! 🚗🐶

Today’s focus was on teaching this enthusiastic pup to slow down and stay calm during one of the most exciting moments of any outing: getting in and out of the car.

🎯 What we worked on:
✅ A calm, controlled “wait” before jumping in or out
✅ Building focus and stillness at the car door
✅ Reinforcing a clear release cue to prevent rushing

💡 Beagle Fact: One of the most common (yet underestimated) training challenges for Beagles is their lack of impulse control in high-stimulation moments, like car rides.
Beagles were bred as scent hounds, designed to chase and track with intense drive. That deep-rooted instinct makes them highly excitable when they anticipate adventure, especially when the car = park, walk, or fun.

This excitement can cause them to lunge, whine, or bolt out the door unsafely. That’s why today’s training focused on helping this Beagle stay calm, think first, and act second.

It’s not just about obedience—it’s about building safe, thoughtful habits in the real world. This little hound is well on the way. 🐶👏
