From terrified to thriving 💛🐾

When Theo first started training, he was absolutely terrified of dogs, of people, and even of the world around him. Everyday things that most dogs breeze through felt overwhelming for him. But behind all that fear was a truly special boy just waiting to come out of his shell.

Me and Maria worked closely together, alongside his amazing and dedicated owner, to help Theo face the world one step at a time. We gently put him into uncomfortable situations, always making sure he felt supported and safe, helping him learn how to cope with stress and build real confidence in different environments.

This wasn’t an overnight transformation it took time, patience, and so much trust from Theo and his owner. But slowly, everything started to click. The scared little dog who once couldn’t cope is now walking into new places with his head held high, tail wagging, and a spark in his eyes.

Theo is now such a happy, fulfilled, and confident boy. There’s still more work to do, but his progress so far has been absolutely phenomenal, a real testament to his owner’s hard work and unwavering dedication.

Both me and Maria are so proud of this big lad and feel truly honoured to have been trusted with his journey. It’s been amazing to see how far he’s come, and we’re so excited to keep helping him grow and show the world just how incredible he really is 💛🐶

We’ve updated our Bark to Basics services to make sure there’s something to suit every dog and owner! 🐾

Here’s what we offer ⬇️

🐶 1-2-1 Training Sessions
Personalised 1-hour sessions focused on your dog’s individual needs from obedience and recall to confidence building and behaviour goals.

🦴 Day Trains
Drop off around 9am and pick up at 5pm (flexible times available). Perfect for busy schedules while your dog spends the day in a calm, structured environment working on obedience, reactivity, and social skills.

🏡 Residential Training
Dogs stay in a home environment for consistent, structured training building manners, focus, and reliability. Includes a handover session and a follow up 1-2-1 for ongoing support.

🐾 Home Visits
Training in your own home ideal for behaviour or routine issues that happen day to day. Great for puppies or dogs who need a calmer setting to learn.

🐾 Meet Rufus – The Handsome KC Registered Weimaraner 🐾

Rufus is a 3-year-old KC Registered Weimaraner looking for his forever home. He has been with me for training and rehoming, and he’s been an absolute joy to work with.

✨ About Rufus:
• With people: Gentle, affectionate, incredibly social, and doesn’t jump up. He enjoys human company and is very easy to handle.
• With dogs: Excellent with other dogs, enjoys their company, and interacts beautifully.
• Fantastic leash manners – we’ve worked through his pulling, and he now walks calmly on lead.
• Can happily live indoors or in a kennel.
• Sweet-natured, affectionate, and eager to please.
• Extremely food-motivated, making him easy to train and teach new tricks.

As a large breed, Rufus will need a home that can provide him with good daily walks and exercise. In return, he’ll be a loyal, loving companion who’s always up for an adventure.

Kol is becoming a regular helper with dog training🤣

This was Maggie’s very first interaction with a cat and she reacted incredibly!

I gave Maggie the freedom to go say ‘hello’ due to the work we have put in on her recall. This amazing wee pup has proven to recall off super high value distractions 100% of the time!

Working on Stay/Wait and Recall around something a dog has never experienced before is unbelievably tough for them.

Maggie’s owners have put in so much time and work into her and she is smashing her training!

So proud of this wee girl🩷
