To all of my lovely kind dog loving customers

Just to keep you all in the loop with the governing bodies' legislations.

Further to the publication of the DEFRA approved pet business guidance in response to the third national lockdown, DEFRA have now announced revised and strengthened wording relevant to all pet groomers and regardless of their working environment. This is as follows:

"Groomers may accept a dog to be groomed by appointment where this is necessary for the animal’s welfare and not simply for aesthetic reasons. Welfare reasons could include on veterinary advice for a skin condition or the potential for excessive matting causing the pet discomfort. When routine grooming can be delayed without affecting the pet’s welfare until the national lockdown is eased it should be put off."

The full business guidance can be viewed here: http://www.petcare.org.uk/index.php/latest-coronavirus-news

It is clear that the coronavirus pandemic has moved into a highly critical phase, especially here on the island. And the loss of my mum has really brought it home.

I will be going through the diary and contacting everyone who had an upcoming appointment but at this moment in time, it is unclear when I will be able to fully open back up. If you have any concerns regarding your dogs welfare please text me.

If you believe your dog is classed as welfare then please contact me and I may be able to help you. I don't want to see any dog suffer or make it uncomfortable for when they can be groomed..

I want you all to stay safe and stay at home and not come out unnecessary..

Thank you for staying patient and understanding. You've all been so kind and lovely at this very hard time for me..

Hello. Hope you all had the best Christmas you could have in these circumstances. I'm afraid I will close during this lockdown as it is alot more contagious this time around. And I have been very ill last couple of days, awaiting test results. Trying to keep you all safe. Happy New year to you and hope next year will get better xx

Hello.. Here we go again.. Second round... I will rebook everyone in order again and contact everyone soon as I know when we can reopen again.. Just keep on brushing! And less bathing.. Or I'll will tell you all off.. Lol.. As if not properly combed will make matts closer to skin... Take care ###

Hello. I'm am finally open again.. But unfortunately I am struggling to book everyone in as soon as they would like as playing catch up for last 7 weeks.. So I thank everyone for their patience. I've managed to rebook everyone that was booked in. So I'm afraid it won't be till July.. Take care and stay safe still, and let's pray we don't get a second wave.

Morning hope you are all looking after yourselves and staying home. Thinking of some helpful advice I could possibly give.. To keep your dogs happy and groomed.
Try not to bath too often. Once a month ideally,
Comb through throughly first as bathing seals the knots closer to the skin.
If you have knots, you can use conditioner preferably dog.. Or even hair serum.
If they think it's a game, and mess around.. Lol.. You can use your rubber car mat and a towel and put them on a table, can be even a coffee one and then they know you mean business.. Then threaten them with my name and they should comply!!! πŸ™‚
That's all for now stay safe xx
