This little face is Sprout 🐾
With the warmer weather coming in, we just wanted to share a quick reminder about heat stroke in pets because it can happen much faster than people think.
A few really simple things can help:
• fresh water available all day
• avoiding walks during the hottest part of the day
• cool shaded areas to rest
• and never leaving pets in the car, even for a few minutes
Some dogs will carry on playing long after they’re getting too hot, so keep an eye out for excessive panting, drooling, wobbliness, vomiting, or unusual tiredness.
If you’re worried your pet may be overheating, call your vets immediately, during the bank holiday, if closed they will have emergency cover details on their answer phone.
(And yes… Sprout absolutely received treats after this photo 🐶)
