This setup of my massive myrmica rubra colony has been teaming recently, especially when they were fed strawberries! With two queens and 700+ workers they definitely do not disappoint in this cheap setup I have made for them that consists of a digging medium of soil and sand. Some moss has started to grow on top with a few plants which the ants enjoy to climb as well as the few twigs I thrown in there to make it all that more earthy feel to it. I absolutely love this colony. I acquired it in February this year with 100 workers and from then they have multiplied several times! I housed them in an antsrussia formicarium the ACFK-1 which I reviewed. I must say that this really helped them achieve this massive growth as well as good feeding and conditions.
