River ❤️

After a very exciting day out at the beach, (best day ever) River came in for her full groom! 💕

A fun day by the sea is great for our four-legged friends, but sand and salt water can cause a few problems if left in their coat.
Why is it important to wash sand and seawater off dogs?🌊

• Saltwater can irritate the skin and cause dryness, itching and discomfort if left on the coat.

• Sand can cause rubbing and irritation, especially in sensitive areas such as between the toes, under the legs and around the tummy.

• Salt and sand can become trapped in the coat, leading to tangles, matting and sore spots, particularly in longer-haired breeds.

• A good wash helps keep their skin and coat healthy by removing salt, sand and other beach debris, leaving them feeling fresh, clean and comfortable.

*Always rinse your dog thoroughly with fresh water after a beach trip, dry them well and check their paws and ears for any trapped sand.

River is all fresh, clean and ready for a long nap! 🐶💖

Freddie 💕

Beautiful little Freddie came in for his full groom, and what a special little boy he is!
Freddie is a very sweet and sensitive soul who just needs a little extra time, patience and understanding to learn to trust and feel comfortable around new people and in new environments.

With every visit, he grows more and more in confidence, and now he’s even coming over for cuddles! 🥰 Go Freddie! We are so proud of you! ❤️

Freddie’s little face was previously clipped quite short, so we’re patiently working on growing it out to achieve that lovely, sharp chin we adore.🐾

At Patient Paws, we believe in kindness, patience, trust and celebrating every little milestone, no matter how big or how small.💙🐶

Dobie 🎃

This beautiful little sausage came to visit us for his full groom, and what a little sweetheart he was!

All fresh, clean and looking his very best for Halloween ❤️

It was a pleasure having little Dobie in and we look forward to seeing him soon!

Moja’s little pamper session! 💕

This sweetheart had a groom with us, and this happy little bunny had the full works, from his twitchy nose right down to his fluffy little cotton tail! 🐰

His pamper included:
* A wash of those areas needing a little extra TLC
* A gentle deshed
* Trimming of longer areas
* Nail clipping
* A sanitary clean
* A little teeth check

We believe grooming is about so much more than just keeping your pet looking their best.
We take the time to give every animal in our care a gentle head-to-toe check during their groom, keeping an eye out for anything unusual or any changes that may need bringing to your attention.

We know that sometimes it can be tricky to check, so we do our best to be that extra pair of eyes for you! 🐾 We look forward to seeing moja again soon❤️

Nimbus 👻

The nights are getting darker, the fields are getting muddier, and our four-legged friends are certainly making the most of those mucky adventures!

Nimbus was in for a lovely groom to wash away all the mud and get her feeling fresh, clean and fabulous again!

Bailey 🐾

This happy chap came in for a full groom, and it’s safe to say Bailey had a lot to say! There was plenty of gossip to catch us up on, and he certainly kept the conversation going throughout his pamper session🐶

Bailey is also a very intelligent boy, and you can tell he’s always taking everything in. He stood beautifully for his entire groom, being an absolute star.

What a lovely and clever boy. We look forward to hearing more about his travels on his next visit😊❤️

Rex 🐾

This young gentleman absolutely loves a good pamper! 🥰 Rex has always been so gentle and loving, and he makes sure to give us plenty of kisses during every groom. ❤️

Rex can be a little wobbly on his legs during his grooms, so here we believe comfort always comes first. It’s really important to us that Rex is allowed to work at a pace that suits him and that we listen to what his little body is telling us.

When drying, I like to place a towel in the bath to give Rex a soft, comfortable area to sit. Even if he likes to have a little dig around in it! 🥰 We don’t a use belly bar, as this allows him to sit down, move around and find whatever position feels most comfortable for him.

We prioritise the necessities first, and when Rex starts to tell us he’s had enough, we give get him back out to Mum and into his little trolley. 💙

For us, grooming isn’t about rushing to get everything perfect. It’s about making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable and listened to 🐶❤️

Oscar 🐾

This beautiful boy is Oscar, and he came to us for a full groom. ❤️

Oscar has a few very special needs, so he needs a little extra time, patience and care. This beautiful rescue boy has had a very tough time in his past and can be a little unsure of fast movements, so with Oscar, a slower and gentler pace is definitely the way to go. 🥰

Oscar also suffers from seizures and has previously fractured his skull. At his dad’s request, we’ve kept his little afro a little longer to provide some extra protection for his precious head should he have a seizure. 💙

Despite everything he’s been through, Oscar is such a calm, gentle and loving boy. It’s clear that he has finally landed on his feet with his new dad, who absolutely gives him the world. 🥹❤️

We’re so proud to be able to care of this special boy and make his grooming experience as comfortable, safe and stress-free as possible. 🐶

Daisy & Lilly 🐾

We had the pleasure of visiting these two beautiful rescue girls for a pedicure! ❤️

Daisy, the Frenchie, was recently adopted from New Leash Of Life. She was a little nervous at first, but with plenty of reassurance, love and patience, she soon relaxed and stood perfectly still, with no worries at all. 🥰

Lilly, the Frenchie x Staffy, was recently adopted from Dogs Trust. She was very excited by all the new sights and sounds and was eager to jump straight onto the table! With a few tasty treats to help keep her focused, she soon settled down and was more than happy to have her nails done.

Both girls are such gentle, beautiful souls, and it's lovely to see them enjoying their fresh starts and the happy new chapters ahead of them. ❤️

A huge thank you to their lovely new family for giving these girls the second chance they deserve.
We look forward to seeing Daisy and Lilly again very soon! 🐾💕

Meet Chopper! 🐾

This big boy came in for his first grooming introduction, and what a brave boy he was! ❤️

Chopper is a rescue who had an absolutely horrendous start to life 😢 Thankfully, his new dad has given him everything he needs to learn to trust people again and slowly start exploring the outside world more and more each day. 🥹❤️

The bath was just a little too scary for Chopper today, so we took things at his pace. Instead, he had a lovely deshed and his nails done and he did amazingly! 🥰

Chopper has regular appointments booked in so we can slowly build his confidence, trust and positive experiences around grooming. There is absolutely no rush, we want every visit to be a happy and comfortable one for him. 🐶

He even got a little treat from Purdy's Pet Shop for being the bestest boy 🥰🐾 followed by a big run in the park to let off some steam!

We’re all so excited to watch Chopper’s confidence grow and, hopefully, see him brave the bath when he’s ready. 🛁❤️

Well done, Chopper you should be very proud of yourself! 🐾🥰
