We're happy to answer any Wild Hedgehog questions you might have.

After having Hedgehogs visiting our garden regularly for the last 22 years, filming them for the last 9 as well as starting a Micro Rescue we've learned one or two things πŸ¦”

More backdated news...this time from the 22nd.

Welcome to Wilko (as in Johnson and NOT the now defunct cheapo Chain Store).

He arrived via Hedgehog Taxi from Burton Latimer πŸš•

Wilko is a great big male but also has a great big Lungworm problem that he is now on a Treatment Plan for.

His appetite is still poor which is a concern but we're doing what we can for him as well as investigating further potential issues.

Another backdated update, another from June 15th πŸ™ˆ

Juicy Lucy passed all her Poo Tests with flying colours and was released right back where she was found.

Hopefully she'll have another litter this year and be successful in raising them all πŸ™πŸ¦”

We seem to have fallen behind on our Socials so the next few posts are us playing catch-up.

This is Poppy who was admitted on Monday 15th from the Lloyds area of Corby.

She seems to be a 2026 Hoglet who somehow got separated from Mum and has been trying to survive on her own.

She's being treated for Capillaria, Fluke and Lungworm currently and is now stable.

Not quite out of the danger zone yet but her appetite is good πŸ™πŸ¦”

This current weather and next week's weather is going to be devastating for all Wildlife.

Please leave out bowls of clean, fresh water day and night πŸ™

Birds, Insects, Hedgehogs, Frogs, Toads, Foxes and other animals will all be dehydrated 🚨🚨🚨

Low, shallow, heavy bowls that cannot be tipped over are perfect (i.e. ceramic plant saucers)

A new guest has arrived at Hal's Urban Hedghogs πŸ¦”πŸ₯°

This is Chunk, a 1067g boy from Oakham who we collected today from Oakham Veterinary Hospital Small Animal

We probably don't need to explain his name πŸ€·πŸ˜‚πŸ–

He's got a nasty case of Lungworm and probably some Capillaria to fix so will settle him down then start his Treatment Plan.

He also shows signs of contact with a Strimmer some time ago as he has some evenly broken spines across one shoulder.

Lots of Self Anointing and body spasms when they first tasted Royal Canin Mother & Baby Cat πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

(Of course it was pre-soaked in water beforehand as their teeth are still tiny)

In this video it's Asda Hero Puppy Food which we used to use back in 2018.
