🏆🍾🐎 Your 2022 Badminton Champions, Laura Collett & London 52! A phenomenal performance all weekend from this pair saw them take the victory having added just 0.4 time to their dressage score of 21.0! Take a bow! 🏆🐎🍾👏🏼

👏 What a brilliant day of cross country at Badminton Horse Trials!
🏇 Six combinations were clear in the time and there are three riders with both their horses in the top 10 - Oliver Townend (Official), Ros Canter Eventing and Fox-Pitt Eventing.
We are delighted to hear that Nicola Wilson Eventing is stable after her nasty fall and wish her all the best for her recovery.

The dressage phase of is now complete with the top 10 remaining rather unchanged other than storming into the lead with London 52 & a score of 21.0 😱👏🏼 Its a seriously testing XC course out there (pics in our stories coming soon) so it will be interesting to see how the leaderboard looks this time tomorrow! 🐎🏆

A fantastic first day of dressage kicked off the 2022 Badminton Horse Trials today & some whopping results were scored! An exciting session before lunch & a fantastic score for American Tamra Smith left her in 2nd behind Tom McEwen Eventing & Olympic Champion Toldedo De Kerser who’s score was 23.4. However the afternoon session saw more brilliant scores being posted, leaving it a British 1, 2, 3 currently, with Kitty King Eventing & Vendredi Biats in 2nd & Luhmuehlen champions Mollie Summerland Eventing & Charly Van Ter Heiden in a close 3rd! All to play for tomorrow with more big names left to come! 🐎💃🏼🏆

❓Did you know that the consultation “Improvements to Equine Identification and Traceability in England” is now live, giving UK horse owners a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have a say about the future for horse passports, health and welfare.

There are two ways for you to have your views heard:

1️⃣ The British Horse Council has made it easy for the UK’s 750,000+ horse owners to respond to their own short survey, now live at www.britishhorsecouncil.org and takes 5-10 minutes and closes 20 May: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/HORSEPASSPORTS/

2️⃣ Defra’s full technical consultation will take you 30-40 minutes, now live here and closes 28 June: https://consult.defra.gov.uk/equine-id-and-movement/improvements-to-equine-id-and-traceability-in-engl/

So, if you have views on the future for paper passports, how they are updated, whether going digital is an option, what happens if disease takes hold, you are worried about breeding and pedigree information or troubled by enforcement – get your views heard.
