A Tribute to Kavna (2012–2025)
My joy, my friend, my heart. ❤️

Last week I had to face the moment I hoped would never come: saying goodbye to Kavna.

My shadow. My constant companion. My little ball of sass.
King Kav, Kavi, BoyJoy — whatever name he answered to (or chose to ignore), he was always loved by all, and utterly cherished by me.

Kavna wasn’t just a pet. He was family. Laid-back, well-adjusted, endlessly funny, and full of character, he had a way of making everyone feel like they were the lucky ones. He attracted fan clubs wherever we went. He gave everything, asked for so little — just love, a lap to sit on, and lots of walks (preferably with a treat at the end).

Two years ago, life dealt him a cruel blow, taking away his sight and hearing. But even then, he was a trouper. Resilient. Brave. He adapted with grace, relying on his other senses — especially his radar for food and company. Nothing could dim the light of his spirit.

He was my truest friend, the one happy constant. I miss him more than words can say. I miss the weight of him curled up next to me, the comfort of his presence, the joy in his snuffles, the love in his being.

Thank you to all who gave up their laps or feet for him to sit on, those who allowed him to use them as a face wipe and those who carried him when he lost his sight ❤️

Oh my life… I wish both Kavi and Seren were still here, sat beside me.

Sleep tight, my beautiful boy.
