4 cockerels have been dumped locally, we’re off to try and get them to safety shortly. Please drop us a message if you’re able to rehome one as we can’t hold onto them very long 🙏🙏

These 3 handsome lads are needing new homes. They are all currently living together but the council have told the owners they need to go so they’re looking for loving pet homes

The first boy is a silkie x frizzle and the second two are both silkies

Currently located in Shildon. If you can offer any of them a home, please pop a comment below and their owner will reach out to you

We have been asked to help find a home for 12 black rocks currently located in Burnopfield. They are 4 years old so egg production has dropped off and they need a loving retirement home. If you can provide these girls with a home, please leave a comment and their current owner will be in touch directly.

Our next rehoming day will be the 26th July, get your reservations in via the Fresh Start for Hens website to secure your girls.

This month will be caged hens from
Derbyshire again. Caged girls can arrive with very little feathers, weak legs, no muscle and having never seen daylight before. They have such amazing characters and are so rewarding to watch them recover and flourish!

We’re not open in June but our new collection point located at Hayden Bridge is! You can reserve hens to collect from their first rehoming day via the website as usual ☺️

Our first rehoming day will be Saturday 28th June!
