🌟 Post of recognition 🌟

This is the new name for any post made to celebrate the success of our Leap and Learn crew, whether it be from competing or from something someone has done in class.

To start us off, it's Nicola with Freddie......

I'm proud to report that Freddie has won into Grade 3 at Kennel Club agility competitions πŸŽ‰πŸ‘

These guys continue to build on their skills and the results are paying off πŸ™Œ

Now to enjoy your limbo period, practicing new things in the ring and continuing to build confidence. Well done both!! πŸ₯³

Here he is with his competing buddy Holly, who also had a fabulous weekend getting some more rosettes 🀩

Doing a sport like agility means it's important to keep your dogs in good shape πŸ’ͺ

My guys visit a Vet Physio every few months for maintenance checks. We also get given "homework" which consists of exercises the dogs should do on non-agility days and ideally with rest days either side too. This helps to keep/build strength which in turn should help to lessen the chance of injury.

Here's a couple of videos from some exercises I did this evening with both girls. Excuse the occasional mis-click of the clicker (hand eye coordination not always in sync! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚).

Thanks to Vet & Physio and The Renew Centre for their care of the girls πŸ™

It's time for another congratulations post! πŸ₯³

A huge well done to Jill Kilby and Holly who not only went grade 2 recently, but have now also won into grade 3 at Kennel Club agility shows! 🀩
Holly seems to be collecting quite a haul of rosettes I think Jill will need a bigger house! πŸ˜‚

Then we have Russell Maidment who having only done agility for just over 6 months, has become well and truly addicted and is already entering his first competitions. This weekend, along with Indy, he went to his first Kennel Club competition and came away with a very tidy clear round so well done!! πŸ‘

We had such a lovely weekend at the Thames Championship Agility Show with Tika coming away with a jumping win and a 4th in agility πŸ₯³

Ginny had a nice clear in the Crufts singles jumping class yesterday and demonstrated some cool skills on some tricky courses in champ today. The clear rounds managed to escape us though so no champ final for us today.

Tell me about your weekend, whether it be dog related or not! 🀩🐢

Good morning! 🌞

Enjoy your weekend whatever it entails.
We're at the Hinckley Championship Agility Show this weekend although camping off site at a local farm.
Can't fault the morning view ❀️

Here's Ginny looking eager and waiting (not so patiently!) to have her check up today πŸ’œ

It was just a maintenance check as the agility competing season begins to ramp up. A couple of niggles found but nothing too much to worry about and she seems in good shape πŸ₯³

It's never a bad idea to get your dogs checked by a Veterinary physiotherapist, especially when they start doing something like agility training, with or without competing too.

If this is something you'd like to do for your dog then get in touch with your Vet as they'll need to refer you πŸ™‚

Happy bank holiday weekend! πŸ₯³

We took a trip to the Nottingham Championship Agility Show in Newark this weekend.
With 11 rings, plenty of qualifier classes as well as the championship class, it's a pretty decent size show!

No scores on the doors for Ginny this weekend but we did have some good bits to take away as well as things to continue working on.

Tika on the other hand, had a fabulous day on Saturday getting a 3rd place in the Grade 5 jumping and then a win in the combined 3-5 agility!!
Super pleased! πŸ₯³πŸ™Œ

The bonus is we get to do it all again next weekend too 🌟

How have you spent your weekend? 😊

Well done to everyone who has taken part over the last 6 weeks. You have all been amazing 🀩
Also a big THANK YOU for choosing me to guide you on your agility journey πŸ₯°

Group lessons resume on the 5th June where we'll be welcoming some new members to the Leap & Learn crew 😁

For anyone who feels like they could be missing out 😜, I have 1 space left in my 6pm class suitable for dogs who have dabbled in agility already or for those experienced handlers with their new dogs.
Drop me a message or email on [email protected] for more info.

Have a fabulous Bank holiday weekend folks πŸ™Œ
